Less than 200 cases of posttraumatic superficial temporal artery pseudoaneurysm have been described in the literature. The majority of these cases result from blunt head trauma and are diagnosed an average of three weeks following the inciting traumatic event. In this case report, we describe a superficial temporal artery pseudoaneurysm that developed and was diagnosed the same day of a blunt h...

aneurysm can develop in all arteries of the human body. pseudoaneurysm induced by trauma is known as a rare condition in peripheral arteries. this complication is known as late sequelae of trauma. the incidence of pseudoaneurysm in upper extremities artery is less than lower extremities. atherosclerotic aneurysms are often seen in large arteries and by aging, but pseudoaneurysm can be seen in p...

Cases of an endovascular treatment for traumatic aortic injury are extremely rare. A prompt diagnosis of traumatic thoracic aortic pseudoaneurysm through a 3-dimensional computed tomographic angiography of aorta and emergency repair are mandatory to rescue the life-threatening condition. An endovascular treatment is a trend for traumatic aortic injury because of lower invasivity, morbidity and ...

Most hepatic artery pseudoaneurysms (HAPA) are post traumatic, and non-traumatic pseudoaneurysm is rarely reported. It is a potentially life threatening vascular disorder and difficult to diagnose before rupture. Early diagnosis and prompt nonoperative intervention of this lesion could be life saving. The authors report the case of a patient with hemobilia caused by ruptured right hepatic arter...

Middle meningeal artery (MMA) pseudoaneurysms are very rare and are most often traumatic. They may present as an epidural or intraparenchymal hematoma. This study reports a rare case in which a patient suffered from intractable epistaxis because of a pseudoaneurysm in middle meningeal artery and skull base fracture after craniocerebra trauma. Pseudoaneurysm and the feeding artery were embolized...

Injuries of the vertebral artery are rare and are usually seen after penetrating or blunt cervical trauma. Vertebral artery injuries (VAI) have been reported in 0.5% of blunt trauma cases. These injuries can lead to hemorrhage, thrombosis, arteriovenous fistula or traumatic pseudoaneurysm in the early or late period. They must be treated carefully due to their increased risk of morbidity and mo...

A patient presented abdominal pseudoaneurysm after traumatic pancreatitis. Computed tomography and visceral arterial angiography showed a ruptured pseudoaneurysm at gastroduodenal artery (GDA). Superselective transcatheter arterial embolization of the pseudoaneurysm was performed by applying liquid adhesive suspension to stop bleeding. Bleeding pseudoaneurysm is a rare, but potentially a life-t...

Pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm is a very rare complication of penetrating thoracic trauma. We present a case of a 27-year-old woman who developed a 6.5-cm traumatic pulmonary artery pseudoaneurysm after suffering multiple stab wounds to the chest and the abdomen. The pseudoaneurysm was successfully treated endovascularly with vascular plug occlusion and coil embolization.

Background Traumatic extracranial internal carotid artery (ICA) dissections are uncommon and can be difficult to treat. Thinning of adventitia and dilatation may occur following arterial dissection, thus resulting in a fusiform pseudoaneurysm, which can subsequently cause bleeding, expanding, or pulsatile hematoma. Currently, medical management with anticoagulation remains the first line of tre...
