Using plants to extract excess nitrate from soil is important in protecting against eutrophication of standing water, hypoxic conditions in lakes and oceans, or elevated nitrate concentrations in domestic water supplies Global climate change issues have raised new concerns about nitrogen (N) management as it relates to crop production even though there may not be an immediate threat to water qu...
Efforts to use land through cropping patterns or crop rotation, better known as farm diversification can be an alternative for farmers maintain their farming during the COVID-19 pandemic. This pandemic affected commodity changes in on farms cultivated by farmer. study aims analyze and describe pattern of horticultural level farmers’ incomes. The research was conducted three villages Sigi Biroma...
Biotic and abiotic constraints seriously affect the productivity of agriculture worldwide. The broadly recognized benefits of legumes in cropping systems-biological nitrogen fixation, improving soil fertility and broadening cereal-based agro-ecologies, are desirable now more than ever. Legume production is affected by hostile environments, especially soil salinity and high temperatures (HTs). A...
Pennycress ( Thlaspi arvense L.) is a new winter annual oilseed crop that can be integrated as “cash cover crop” in Midwestern USA cropping systems. Relay-cropping pennycress with soybean [ Glycine max (L.) Merr.] has been shown an effective way to produce three crops over 2 years while providing living on the agricultural landscape nearly year-round. However, management improvements are needed...
Winter camelina [ Camelina sativa (L.) Crantz] and field pennycress Thlaspi arvense L.] are oilseed feedstocks that can be employed as winter-hardy cover crops in the current cropping systems U.S. upper Midwest. In addition to provide multiple ecosystem services, they a further source of income for farmer. However, using these is new agricultural practice has only been studied recently. The obj...
277 Lathyrus (Lathyrus sativus L.) is mostly grown on the residual soil moisture in rice-fallows as utera (relay) crop (Gupta and Bhowmick, 2005; Mondal and Ghosh, 2005). But low productivity especially under utera system is the major problem associated with this crop (Bhowmick et al., 2005). Even there is a limited scope for agronomic manipulation under rice-utera system although it has potent...
In this paper, Ultra-wideband (UWB) multiple access relay channel with correlated noises at the relay and receiver is investigated. We obtain outer and inner bounds for the IEEE 802.15.3a UWB multiple access relay channel, and also, a diversity gain bound. Finally, we evaluate some results numerically and show that noise correlation coefficients play important role in determining relay position.
