Ozone measurements from ozonesondes, AROTAL, DIAL, and POAM III instruments during the SOLVE2/VINTERSOL period are composited in a time-varying, flow-following quasi-conservative (PV-θ ) coordinate space; the resulting composites from each instrument are mapped onto the other instruments’ locations and times. The mapped data are then used to intercompare data from the different instruments. Ove...

We propose to make a high-precision measurement of the neutron’s magnetic form factor, Gn M , at six kinematic points: Q2 = 3.5, 4.5, 5.25, 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0 (GeV/c)2. Little data on Gn M exists in this kinematic range and the existing data have large systematic uncertainties. In the proposed experiment, systematic errors are greatly reduced by the use of the “ratio” method in which Gn M is extr...

We report the simultaneous quasi-phase-matching of all three possible nonlinearities for propagation along the X axis of periodically poled (PP) KTiOPO4 (KTP) for second-harmonic generation of 745 nm pulsed light from 1490 nm subpicosecond pulses in a PPKTP crystal with a 45.65 microm poling period. This confirms the recent Sellmeier fits for KTP by Kato and Takaoka [Appl. Opt. 41, 5040 (2002)]...

Using the notion of anti fuzzy points and its besideness to and nonquasi-coincidence with a fuzzy set, new concepts in anti fuzzy subalgebras in BCK/BCI-algebras are introduced and their properties and relationships are investigated.

Mutation rate variation has the potential to bias evolutionary inference, particularly when rates become much higher than the mean. We first confirm prior work that inferred the existence of cryptic, site-specific rate variation on the basis of coincident polymorphisms-sites that are segregating in both humans and chimpanzees. Then we extend this observation to a longer evolutionary timescale b...
