Primary cutaneous CD30+ T cell lymphoma is rare lymphoma originally in and confined to the skin. These lymphomas usually present as a large solitary and often ulcerated nodule. Its prognosis is a good and has a good response to radiotherapy. We report a 34- year- old man who had primary cutaneous CD30+T cell lymphoma on his face, which presented as an ulcerated nodule.
The incidence of primary cutaneous lymphomas in the European Union reaches 1/100 000 per year. Primary cutaneous lymphomas originate in the skin and they are restricted to the skin. Secondary cutaneous lymphomas are manifestations of lymphomas of nodal or extranodal origin. Primary cutaneous lymphomas include various lymphoproliferative disorders: 65% are cutaneous T-cell lymphomas (CTCL), 25% ...
Primary cutaneous lymphomas have a distinct clinical behavior and prognosis, and therefore require a different therapeutic approach, as compared with their primary nodal equivalents. The European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) classification for primary cutaneous lymphomas recognizes a limited number of cutaneous T-cell lymphomas and cutaneous B-cell lymphomas and is ...
Malignant lymphomas that secondarily involve the skin are relatively common and may be difficult to distinguish from primary skin lymphomas. While the morphologic features of primary and secondary lymphomas of the skin are often very similar, the clinical behavior of primary and secondary disease is often dramatically different. Although large series of secondary cutaneous lymphomas are uncommo...
Primary cutaneous B-cell lymphomas (PCBCLs) constitute 25% of all primary cutaneous lymphomas. They present in the skin with no evidence of systemic or extracutaneous disease at the time of diagnosis, after adequate staging. Primary cutaneous B-cell lymphomas differ significantly from their nodal counterparts in relation to both clinical behavior and prognosis. The distinction between primary a...
Primary cutaneous lymphomas (PCLs) are clonal Tor B-cell neoplasms, which originate in the skin. In recent years, mast cells were described as regulators of the tumor microenvironment in different human malignancies. Here, we investigated the role of mast cells in the tumor microenvironment of PCL. We found significantly increased numbers of mast cells in skin biopsies from patients with cutane...

Cutaneous lymphomas (CL) are the second most common extranodal non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. Their incidence is estimated at 1/100 000 yearly. Primary CL develop by definition in the skin and remain confined to the skin for a long period of time, while secondary CL reflect cutaneous spread from disseminated primary nodal or extranodal lymphomas. Primary CL include a wide spectrum of clinically and h...
