We study the canonical weak distributive law $\delta$ of powerset monad over semimodule for a certain class semirings containing, in particular, positive semifields. Its utility is demonstrated through a formalisation of the theory of regular languages and finite automata, including the Myhill-Nerode theorem and Brzozowski’s minimisation algorithm.
