‎In this paper we introduce a numerical approach that solves optimal control problems (OCPs) ‎using collocation methods‎. ‎This approach is based upon B-spline functions‎. ‎The derivative matrices between any two families of B-spline functions are utilized to‎ ‎reduce the solution of OCPs to the solution of nonlinear optimization problems‎. ‎Numerical experiments confirm our heoretical findings‎.

This paper addresses the conditions for robust stabilization of a class of uncertain switched systems with delay. The system to be considered is autonomous and the state delay is time-varying. Using Lyapunov functional approach, restriction on the derivative of time-delay function is not required to design switching rule for the robust stabilization of switched systems with time-varying delays....

Deriving insights from high-dimensional data is one of the core problems in data mining. The difficulty mainly stems from the fact that there are exponentially many variable combinations to potentially consider, and there are infinitely many if we consider weighted combinations, even for linear combinations. Hence, an obvious question is whether we can automate the search for interesting patter...

The dominance–based rough set approach plays an important role in the development of the rough set theory. It can be used to express the inconsistencies coming from consideration of the preference–ordered domains of the attributes. The purpose of this paper is to further generalize the dominance–based rough set model to fuzzy environment. The constructive approach is used to define the intuitio...

We propose and analyze a water born disease model introducing water-to-person and person-toperson transmission and saturated incidence. The disease-free equilibrium and the existence criterion of endemic equilibrium are investigated. Trans critical bifurcation at the disease-free equilibrium is obtained when the basic reproductive number is one. The local stability of both the equilibria is sho...

Abstract: In this paper, the problem of delay-dependent stabilization for singular systems with multiple internal and external incommensurate constant point delays is investigated. The condition when a singular system subject to point delays is regular independent of time delays is given and it can be easily test with numerical or algebraic methods. Based on LyapunovKrasovskii functional approa...

General models of network navigation must contain a deterministic or drift component, encouraging the agent to follow routes of least cost, as well as a random or diffusive component, enabling free wandering. This paper proposes a thermodynamic formalism involving two path functionals, namely an energy functional governing the drift and an entropy functional governing the diffusion. A freely ad...

The robust stability and H∞ state-feedback control problems for uncertain discrete-time switched systems with time-varying delays are discussed in this paper. The uncertainty is time-varying but norm-bounded. By the switched Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach, delay-dependent linear matrix inequality conditions for the delayvarying discrete-time uncertain switched system are developed to g...

This paper address the exponential stability for a class of switched systems with mixed time delays. Based on linear matrix inequalities and Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach, a geometrically switching rule for the exponential stability of the system is designed. The approach allows to compute simultaneously the two bounds that characterize the exponential stability rate of the solution. ...

This paper is an attempt to test PENTA, an articulatory-functional model, on Persian focus prosody. The test was done on a corpus consisting of utterances with different focus conditions using PENTAtrainer2, a trainable prosody synthesizer that optimizes categorical pitch targets each corresponding to multiple communicative functions. The evaluation was done by comparing the F0 contours generat...
