The effect of chelating phosphines was tested on the structure and pH-dependent stability of nickel-cysteine binding. (1,2-Bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane (dppe) and 1,1,1-tris[(diphenylphosphino)methyl]ethane (triphos) were used with three different cysteine derivatives (L-cysteine, Cys; L-cysteine ethyl ester, CysEt; cystamine, CysAm) to prepare complexes of the form (dppe)NiCysR(n+) and (tripho...
Asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of electron-deficient olefins is realized with nickel catalysts supported by strongly σ-donating bisphosphines. Deuterium labeling experiments point to a reaction sequence of formate decarboxylation, asymmetric hydride insertion and non-stereoselective protonation of resulting nickel enolates.
Introduction Nitrogen oxides as one of the most dangerous environmental pollutant, have harmful effects on the health of people in the workplace. Today, the catalytic oxidation of nitrogen oxides is a highly efficient method for removing of this gases that has been dedicated part of researches. The aim of study was to investigate the removal efficiency of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) by nickel and...
The behavior of phenol was studied and determined using the modified carbon paste electrode (MCPE) with nickel oxide nanoparticles doped by nitrogen quantum dots as nanoadsorbent (NiO - NCQD) cyclic voltammetry (CV). MCP manufactured in a laboratory. consisted 12% (NiO-NCQD), 44% graphite powder paraffin oil to get carbonate paste. Cyclic can provide information; such: diffusion coefficient (...
A 3D mechanically stable scaffold is shown to accommodate the volume change of a high-specific-capacity nickel-tin nanocomposite during operation as a Li-ion battery anode. The nickel-tin anode is supported by an electrochemically inactive conductive scaffold with an engineered free volume and controlled characteristic dimensions, which engender the electrode with significantly improved cyclabi...
This paper describes a strategy for producing hydrogen via steam reforming of ethylene glycol over supported nickel catalysts. Nickel plays a crucial role in conversion of ethylene glycol and production of hydrogen, while oxide supports affect product distribution of carbonaceous species. A plausible reaction pathway is proposed based on our results and the literature.
Nickel hydrides supported by a terphenyl diphosphine were synthesized and found to undergo nickel-to-arene H-transfers. Some of the resulting complexes also undergo the reverse (C-to-Ni) H-migration, indicating the potential for storing H-equivalents in this type of pincer ligand. NMR spectroscopy, single crystal X-ray diffraction, and isotopic labeling studies investigating the mechanism of th...
Spent catalysts are principally solid waste which that coming out from nitrogenous fertilizer industry, during the production of ammonia, resulting in the production of large amount of solid waste containing nickel, which is the spent or deactivated catalysts. These catalysts contain from 12-14% nickel based on the production process in fertilizer industry disposal of spent catalyst is a proble...
