Radar-absorbing materials are used in stealth technologies for concealment of an object from radar detection. Resistive and/or magnetic composite materials are used to reduce the backscattered microwave signals. Inability to control electrical properties of these materials, however, hinders the realization of active camouflage systems. Here, using large-area graphene electrodes, we demonstrate ...
An activated carbon/epoxy composite was synthesized in which waste mango leaves biomass used as the carbon source. To create a sufficient amount of porosity biomass, simple process carbonization followed by its activation used. The morphology and material were studied SEM, TEM, BET analysis, confirmed presence macro- mesopores material. with 3 mm thickness gave highest reflection loss (RL) ? 39...
Nowadays, applications of Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS) for radar absorbing materials (RAM) are increasing, but it is still a challenge to select a proper FSS for a particular material as well as the dimensions of FSS for optimized absorption. Therefore, in this paper an attempt has been made to optimize the dimensions of FSS for microwave absorbing application using Genetic Algorithm (GA)...
The transmission line pulse method (TLP) is used to characterise the reliability of bolometric GaAs microwave power-sensors. Two degradation mechanisms are identified during the degradation process of the absorbing NiCr termination, in which the input power is converted into heat. Simulations and a material analysis have been performed in order to characterise the observed degradation mechanisms.
The 4th Prof. Vijaya Agarwala Memorial National Symposium on Microwave Absorbing Materials (VAMMAM-2020)” was held during 23 - 24th, August 2020 at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee in association with Centre Nanotechnology and Common Research Development Hub (CRTDH) for New Materials/Stealth Applications Department Applied Mechanics Motilal Nehru Allahabad, Prayagraj, India.
Microwave-absorbing materials are widely utilized in military and civilian applications. Moreover, their environmental potential to refine electromagnetic pollution has promoted importance. An ideal conjugated organic polymer for use as a microwave-absorbing material should possess high porosity, low density, long backbone, narrow energy band gap, proper conductive relaxation loss, vast specifi...
