Ocular involvement in lymphoma is a relatively rare condition that can result from a primary intraocular lymphoma or an intraocular manifestation of systemic lymphoma. Lymphoma manifestations frequently masquerade as other more benign intraocular conditions including allergic or infectious conjunctivitis, uveitis, multiple evanescent white dot syndrome, acute retinal necrosis, or herpetic retin...
Background. The ocular adnexal region is the primary localization of extranodal lymphoma in 5% to 15% of all NonHodgkin lymphoma. Intraocular lymphoma of T-cell origin is extremely rare and such sites of infiltration have been rarely observed in clinical examination. Case report. We presented a 56-year-old man with iris infiltration by primary intraocular peripheral T-cell lymphoma. The patient...
Primary vitreoretinal lymphoma (PVRL) is a subtype of primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL), a high-grade, extranodal, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, predominantly of B-cell origin. PVRL is an aggressive disease with a poor prognosis. Human studies are not ideally suited for the study of intraocular lymphoma pathogenesis or treatment strategies due to the rare nature of the disease, its vari...
BACKGROUND: Primary ocular lymphoma is a distinct subtype of intraocular lymphoma. Its clinical presentation can mimic benign conditions. Diagnosis is often based on obtaining an intraocular biopsy. Optimal management is not yet realized. METHODS: This report combines the experience of the author with a review of the current literature pertaining to intraocular lymphoma. RESULTS: Primary ocular...
We report a case of intraocular lymphoma in a 65-year-old man, 15 months after cardiac transplantation. On Magnetic Resonance (MR) images, the iris and the anterior chamber of the right eye were found to be involved with an enhancing soft-tissue lesion. To our knowledge, this is the first case of post-transplantation intraocular lymphoma evaluated with MR imaging.

This report reviews the ophthalmic manifestations of lymphoma. METHODS Review of relevant information from journal articles and Internet search. RESULTS Almost all the structures in the orbit, adnexiae and eye ...
Primary vitreoretinal lymphoma (PVRL) was previously termed primary intraocular lymphoma. PVRL is a potentially fatal intraocular malignancy, and 65-90% of PVRL cases eventually involve the central nervous system (CNS). The incidence of PVRL has been rising in both immunocompromised and immuno-competent populations worldwide. PVRL frequently masquerades as chronic uveitis. Advanced auxiliary ex...
