The classical Shintani map (see [Shn]) is the Hecke-equivariant map from the space of cusp forms of integral weight to the space of cusp forms of half-integral weight. In this paper, we will construct a Hecke-equivariant overconvergent Shintani lifting which interpolates the classical Shintani lifting p-adically, following the idea of G. Stevens in [St1]. In consequence, we get a formal q-expan...

We prove a dynamical version of the Mordell-Lang conjecture for étale endomorphisms of quasiprojective varieties. We use p-adic methods inspired by the work of Skolem, Mahler, and Lech, combined with methods from algebraic geometry. As special cases of our result we obtain a new proof of the classical Mordell-Lang conjecture for cyclic subgroups of a semiabelian variety, and we also answer posi...

— We construct a rigid-analytic map from the the author’s half-integral weight cuspidal eigencurve (see [10]) to its integral weight counterpart that interpolates the classical Shimura lifting.

For analyzing diffraction gratings, a new method is developed based on dividing one period of the grating into homogeneous subdomains and computing the Neumann-to-Dirichlet (NtD) maps for these subdomains by boundary integral equations. For a subdomain, the NtD operator maps the normal derivative of the wave field to the wave field on its boundary. The integral operators used in this method are...

in this paper, the boundary-based estimation of pressure distribution in the cardiovascular system is investigated using two dimensional flow images. the conventional methods of non-invasive estimation of pressure distribution in the cardiovascular flow domain use the differential form of governing equations. this study evaluates the advantages of using the integral form of the equations in the...

Let T be a Fourier integral operator on R n of order −(n − 1)/2. In [4] it was shown (among other things) that T maps the Hardy space H 1 to L 1. In this note we show that T is also of weak-type (1, 1). The main ideas are a decomposition of T into non-degenerate and degenerate components, and a factorization of the non-degenerate portion.

We construct and analyze a family of well-conditioned boundary integral equations for the Krylov iterative solution of three-dimensional elastic scattering problems by a bounded rigid obstacle. We develop a new potential theory using a rewriting of the Somigliana integral representation formula. From these results, we generalize to linear elasticity the well-known Brakhage-Werner and Combined F...

The map x y p x y x of the plane is area preserving and has the remarkable property that in numerical studies it shows exact integrability The plane is a union of smooth disjoint invariant curves of the map However the integral has not explicitly been known In the current paper we will show that the map does not have an algebraic integral i e there is no non constant function F x y such that F ...
