We present a review on rendering rigid shadows precisely and proficiently. Our review provides the details of all the existing methods for rendering shadows and the hybrid approaches. Hybrid approaches merge the two or more existing algorithms. The algorithm merges shadow map and shadow volume computation. Analysis of shadow volume, shadow map and projection algorithm is performed and is mentio...

Iterative hybrid projection methods have proven to be very effective for solving large linear inverse problems due their inherent regularizing properties as well the added flexibility sele...

This paper proposes a speciication language, Hybrid Projection Temporal Logic (HPTL), for the purpose of modelling, analyzing and verifying hybrid systems consisting of a non-trivial mixture of discrete and continuous components. The syntax and semantics of HPTL are presented, and some examples of hybrid systems are modelled with HPTL to illustrate the formalism.

This paper proposes a specification language, hybrid projection temporal logic of modelling, analyzing and verifying biological systems which can be considered, in general, to be hybrid systems consisting of a non-trivial mixture of discrete and continuous components. The syntax and semantics of the logic are presented, and some examples of hybrid systems are modelled to illustrate the formalism.

Biometric template protection is indispensable to protect personal privacy in large-scale deployment of biometric systems. Accuracy, changeability, and security are three critical requirements for template protection algorithms. However, existing template protection algorithms cannot satisfy all these requirements well. In this paper, we propose a hybrid approach that combines random projection...

We introduce the shrinking hybrid projection method for finding a common element of the set of fixed points of strictly pseudocontractive mappings, the set of common solutions of the variational inequalities with inverse-strongly monotone mappings, and the set of common solutions of generalized mixed equilibrium problems in Hilbert spaces. Furthermore, we prove strong convergence theorems for a...

The phase-retrieval problem, fundamental in applied physics and engineering, addresses the question of how to determine the phase of a complex-valued function from modulus data and additional a priori information. Recently we identified two important methods for phase retrieval, namely, Fienup's basic input-output and hybrid input-output (HIO) algorithms, with classical convex projection method...

We propose a modification of the classical proximal point algorithm for finding zeroes of a maximal monotone operator in a Hilbert space. In particular, an approximate proximal point iteration is used to construct a hyperplane which strictly separates the current iterate from the solution set of the problem. This step is then followed by a projection of the current iterate onto the separating h...

In this paper, we construct a new iterative scheme by hybrid projection method and prove strong convergence theorems for approximation of a common element of set of common fixed points of an infinite family of asymptotically quasi-φ-nonexpansive mappings, set of solutions to a variational inequality problem and set of common solutions to a system of generalized mixed equilibrium problems in a u...
