Ornithogalum khuzestanicum به عنوان گونه جدید از خوزستان شرح داده می‌شود. این گونه مشابه گونه‌هایO. brachystachys C. Koch و O. arcuatum Stev. بوده و از نظر طول ساقه، حاشیه برگ، طول گل آذین، طول برگه، طول دمگل و تزیینات سطح بذر و دانه گرده با آنها اختلاف دارد.
