We elaborate on the hypothesis that in high energy hadron hadron and nucleus nucleus collisions the lowest mass glueballs are copiously produced from the gluon rich environment especially at high energy density. We discuss the particular glueball decay modes: 0 ++ , 2 ++ → KK and 0 ++ → π + π − ℓ + ℓ − .

This article reports world averages for measurements on b-hadron properties obtained by the Heavy Flavor Averaging Group (HFAG) using the available results as of summer 2004 conferences. In the averaging, the input parameters used in the various analyses are adjusted (rescaled) to common values, and all known correlations are taken into account. The averages include b-hadron lifetimes, B-oscill...

BTeV and LHC-B are experiments being proposed to study b and c quark decays in hadron-hadron collisions with the aims to look for new phenomena beyond the Standard Model and to measure Standard Model parameters including CKM elements and decay constants. The physics goals, required detection techniques and simulations will be discussed.

We apply the method of perturbative fragmentation to study bottom fragmentation in top decay. We present the energy spectrum of b-quarks and b-flavoured hadrons in top decay. A reliable understanding of bottom-quark fragmentation in top-quark decay (t → bW) will be fundamental to accurately measure the top properties, such as its mass, at present and future high-energy colliders. At the LHC, fi...

We give an analysis of the experimental material presented by the SELEX Collaboration to find the true place for the SELEX state D sJ(2632) in the unified picture for hadron spectra developed early. It is found that the SELEX measurements are excellently incorporated in the unified picture for hadron spectra. Our analysis shows that the measured values for the masses of the SELEX state exactly ...

The nearly energy independent hadron emitter dimension r, measured in e+e− annihilation in the energy range 10 to 91 GeV via the Bose-Einstein correlation of two identical charged pions, is shown to be well accounted for by choosing the hadron jets as independent pion sources. To this end the known normalised factorial cumulant moments dependence on particle sources is adapted to the Bose-Einst...

The governing role of light-cone dynamics in inclusive heavy hadron decay processes is demonstrated. Nonperturbative QCD effects on the processes can be systematically calculated using light-cone expansion and heavy quark effective theory. The applications of the light-cone approach to studying electroweak and strong interactions and hadron structure with semileptonic and radiative decays of be...
