Gangbo and McCann showed that optimal transportation between hypersurfaces generally leads to multivalued optimal maps – bivalent when the target surface is strictly convex. In this paper we quantify Hölder continuity of the bivalent map optimizing average distance squared between arbitrary measures supported on Euclidean spheres.

The goal of this paper is to establish Hölder estimates for the solutions of a certain parabolic system related to Maxwell’s equations. Such an estimate is employed to get the local Hölder continuity of the magnetic field arising from Maxwell’s equations in a quasi-stationary electromagnetic field, provided the resistivity of the material is continuous in time.

The main purpose of this paper is to prove a local Hölder regularity result for the solutions of the total variation based denoising problem assuming that the datum is locally Hölder continuous. We also prove a global estimate on the modulus of continuity of the solution in convex domains of R and some extensions of this result for the total variation minimization flow.

We prove the Hölder continuity of some stochastic Volterra integrals, with singular kernels, under integrability assumptions on the integrand. Some applications to processes arising in the analysis of the fractional Brownian motion are given. The main tool is the embedding of some Besov spaces into some sets of Hölder continuous functions.
