Many applications exhibit iterative and phase based behavior. We present an approach to detect and analyze iteration phases in applications by recording the control flow graph of the application and analyzing it for loops that represent iterations. Phases are then manually marked and performance profiles are captured in alignment with the iterations. By analyzing how profiles change between cap...

in this study a machine learning algorithm was applied in order to develop a predictive model for the changes in phytoplankton biomass (chlorophyll a) in the lower nakdong river, south korea. we used a “hybrid evolutionary algorithm (hea)” which generated model consists of three functions ‘if-thenelse’ on the basis of a 15-year, weekly monitored ecological database. we used the average ...

this paper proposes an optimal power flow (opf) algorithm by direct load control (dlc) programs to optimize the operational cost of smart grids considering various scenarios based on different constraints. the cost function includes active power production cost of available power sources and a novel flexible load curtailment cost associated with dlc programs. the load curtailment cost is based ...

This thesis develops a demand driven solver for constraint based control flow analysis. Our approach is modular, flow-sensitive and scaling. It allows to efficiently construct the interprocedural control flow graph (ICFG) for object-oriented languages. The analysis is based on the formal semantics of a Java-like language. It is proven to be correct with respect to this semantics. The base algor...

In this paper, we present a refinement of a Control Flow Analysis aimed at studying information flow security in the the calculus of Mobile Ambients. The improvements are achieved by making the analysis be flow-sensitive: the analysis is able to keep track of temporal dependencies of capabilities application when computing a safe approximation of the run-time topology of Mobile Ambient processes.

This paper deals with the model-reference control of timed event graphs using the dioid algebra and the residuation theory. It proposes a control structure based on a precompensator and a feedback controller to improve the controlled system performance. It is shown that this approach always leads to an optimal behavior of the closed-loop system. An example is given to illustrate the proposed ap...

Recently there has been a growing interest in modeling motor control systems with modular structures. Such control structures have many interesting properties, which have been described in recent studies. We here focus on some properties which are related to the fact that specific set of contexts can themselves be modeled modularly.
