Different aspects of ecology, biology and regional distribution of Tipula subcunctans in the North Caucasus (Lake Maliy Tambukan, 12 km south-east of Pyatigorsk) are investigated. Abundance of larvae, fecundity of females, mode of oviposition and other data are presented.
