We present a detection of [CI] 3 P 1 − 3 P 0 emission in the lensed quasar APM 08279+5255 at z=3.91 using the IRAM Plateau de Bure interferometer. We present a high-resolution spectroscopic study of the envelope of the young Class 0 protostar IRAM 04191+1522 in Taurus.
