Illustrated redescription of a colourful bug Urolabida histrionica (Westwood 1837), along with comments on bionomics, is presented for the first time from an Indian population. The host plant this was identified as Ficus hispida L. f. (Moraceae).

BACKGROUND Of the two known Eupareophora species, more is known about the larva  and bionomics of the Nearctic E. parca, than the rarely recorded West Palaearctic E. exarmata. NEW INFORMATION The last instar larva and prepupa of E. exarmata is illustrated and briefly described. In Germany its host is Fraxinus excelsior.

This study examined the species of anopheline mosquitoes in Myanmar. Out of 36 species of anophelines distributed throughout the country, ten species were found to be infected with the malaria parasite.
