Substantial reproduction of Meloidogyne incognita on winter cover crops may lead to damaging populations in a subsequent cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) crop. The amount of population increase during the winter depends on soil temperature and the host status of the cover crop. Our objectives were to quantify M. incognita race 3 reproduction on rye (Secale cereale) and several leguminous cover crops...

Abstract Hospital wastewaters are produced in large volumes Pakistan (?362–745 L/bed.day) and discharged without proper treatment. They widely used by farmers for crop irrigation induce a phytotoxic effect on plant growth. The study was conducted to evaluate the of untreated treated hospital wastewater seed germination fodder Trifolium alexandrinum (Berseem clover) food Solanum lycopersicum (to...

To evaluate forage production and land equivalent ratio (LER) in additive and replacement intercropping systems of forage sorghum and berseem clover, a field experiment was conducted using randomized complete block design with eight treatments and three replications at the research field station of Seed and Plant Improvement Institute, Karaj, Iran, in 2016-17 and 2017-18 growing seasons. The ex...

To determine the appropriate proportion of oat mixed cropped with berseem clover under manure application levels, an experiment was carried out in the crop year 2015-2016; this study was carried out in Khuzestan Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources University, as a split-plot design on the basis of RCBD with three replications. In this experiment, manure levels including: 0, 12, 24and  3...

Four Rhizobium strains were isolated from berseem clover in Egypt. The symbiotically effective, salt-tolerant, strain Rhiz950 was identified as new species, Rhizobium aegypticaum sv. trifolii (USDA 7124(T)). The other three thermal- and pH-tolerant strains were identified as Rhizobium bangladeshense sv. trifolii, the type strain is USDA 7125(T).

An in vitro incubation system was used to evaluate effect of supplementation of fumaric acid at 0, 5, 10, and 15 mM concentration in high-, medium-, and low-fiber wheat straw containing total mixed diets with sorghum (Sorghum vulgare) and berseem clover (Trifolium alexandrinum L.) on rumen fermentation, methane production, and gas kinetics parameters. Three types of diets were prepared with dif...
