The traditional medicine, Cassia alata, also known as Ketepeng Cina in Indonesia and Gelenggang Malaysia, has been used to cure a variety of illnesses particularly skin conditions. Additionally, it suggested that C. alata may have antifungal, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant properties. Alatinon, alanonal, flavones, flavonols, flavonoid glycosides, well -sitosterol-D-glucoside, are am...

during the past decade, natural plant products as environmentally safe option have received attention for controlling phytopathogenic diseases. investigation of plants containing natural antimicrobial metabolites for plant protection has been recognized as a desirable method of disease control. the fungus fusarium oxysporum causes diseases such as root rot, damping off and fusarium wilt and it ...

The objective of our study is to implicate the mechanisms tolerance abiotic stress by synthesis metabolites in biotic stress. extracted metabolites; proline, sugars and polyphenols from durum wheat seedlings subjected heat shock (40 °C), used test antifungal activity on two fungal strains, powdery mildew penicillium, under controlled conditions. boussellam variety more tolerant applied than Cic...

The metabolite production of lactic acid bacteria (LAB) on silage was investigated. The aim was to compare the production of antifungal metabolites in silage with the production in liquid cultures previously studied in our laboratory. The following metabolites were found to be present at elevated concentrations in silos inoculated with LAB strains: 3-hydroxydecanoic acid, 2-hydroxy-4-methylpent...

Pathogenic fungi constitute one of the main infectious agents in plants, causing alterations during developmental stages including post-harvest. Phytopathogenic fungi are controlled by synthetic fungicides; however, the use of these is progressively restricted due to both, the harmful effects of pesticides on the environment and human health and the appearance of highly resistant fungal strains...

Bacillus velezensis GQJK49 is a plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium with antifungal activity, which was isolated from Lycium barbarum L. rhizosphere. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of B. velezensis GQJK49. Twelve gene clusters related to its biosynthesis of secondary metabolites, including antifungal and antibacterial antibiotics, were predicted.

Many plants produce low-molecular-weight compounds which inhibit the growth of phytopathogenic fungi in vitro. These compounds may be preformed inhibitors that are present constitutively in healthy plants (also known as phytoanticipins), or they may be synthesized in response to pathogen attack (phytoalexins). Successful pathogens must be able to circumvent or overcome these antifungal defenses...

The study of spatial distribution of secondary metabolites within microbial cells facilitates the screening of candidate strains from marine environments for functional metabolites and allows for the subsequent assessment of the production of metabolites, such as antibiotics. This paper demonstrates the first application of Raman microspectroscopy for in situ detection of the antifungal antibio...
