a simple, efficient and clean procedure has been developed for the cleavage of imines c=n bond. deprotection of imines to their parent carbonyl and amine compounds was achieved using p-toluenesulfonic acid in the solid state condition at 25-45 ˚c. the salient features of this methodology are shorter reaction times, cheap processing, high yields of product and easy availability of the catalyst. ...

The intranuclear mitosis of the plasmodial nuclei of myxomycetes permits the observation of defects in chromosomal repartition which would probably be lethal in other eukaryotic cells with open mitosis. We found that antitumoral platinum-amine compounds perturbed late mitotic events and induced the formation of giant nuclei which were polyploid in plasmodia of Physarum polycephalum. Using 26 pl...

4-(acetoacetamido) arsanilic acid (II), which was then condensed with aryl aldehydes. The resulting product on reaction with hydrazine hydrate and hydroxyl amine hydrochloride yielded Pyrazolines (IV) and Isoxazolines (V), respectively. The antimicrobial activity of compounds against a number of microorganisms was evaluated. Some of these compounds showed significant antimicrobial activity

The major-groove BINOL-amino alcohol (S)-6 shows greatly enhanced fluorescence over the minor-groove one (S)-3. The study of a series of the major-groove BINOL-amino alcohol compounds demonstrates that the commonly accepted acid inhibition of the PET fluorescence quenching of aryl-amine compounds is not involved in the BINOL-amine sensors.

In the presence of amine-containing sulfhydryl compounds, binding of heat-transformed cytosolic rat liver glucocorticoid receptor complex (GRC) to double-stranded calf thymus DNA-coated cellulose and to rat liver chromatin was enhanced up to 10-fold. These observations were made under conditions when a maximum of 8% of the total GRC bound to DNA in the absence of test compound. Compounds which ...

In this paper, the applicability of immobilized lanthanum (III) triflate on amine grafted graphene oxide [La(OTf)2-amine grafted-GO] as the first multifunctional catalyst is described for the efficient synthesis of α-aminophosphonates by one-pot three-component reaction of carbonyl compounds, substituted anilines and trialkyl phosphites. Various α-aminophosphonates were synthesized in good to h...

copper amine oxidases (caos) catalyse the oxidative de-amination of biogenic amines which are ubiquitous compounds essential for cell growth and proliferation. the enzymes are homodimers containing both topaquinone and a cu(ii) ions as cofactors at the active site of each subunit. after extraction and purification of chickpea (cicer arietinum) amine oxidase by chromatoghraphy, km and vmax of th...

Amine-containing compounds including polymers, oligomers and small molecules, without conventional fluorophores, are found to emit strong visible fluorescence after a one-step heat treatment. Furthermore, our results demonstrate for the first time that not only tertiary amine groups but also primary and secondary amine groups can act as fluorescent moieties.

the studies performed about electrochemical oxidation 2-amino-4-methylphenol indicate that ortho-quinone yielded through oxidation of this chemical compound was unstable and it could be used as michael acceptor under solvent influences, carrier electrolyte, additives and could be transformed into the various compounds in the form of 1-4 addition michael reaction. based on this, in the paper fir...

Novel nineteen compounds based on a 4-aminoquinoline scaffold were designed and synthesized as potential antiproliferative agents. The new compounds were N-substituted at the 4-position by aryl or heteroaryl (1-9), quinolin- 3-yl (10), 2-methylquinolin-3-yl (11), thiazol-2-yl (12), and dapsone moieties (13, 14 and 18). Bis-compounds 15, 16 and 19 were also synthesized to assess their biological...
