Molecular motions of methanol adsorbed in 1D nanochannels of pillared-layer coordination polymer with paramagnetic metal ions have been studied by (2)H NMR together with X-ray crystallography.

A dynamic porous coordination network with a hydrophobic channel was assembled from stretchable 1D metallosalen polymer, which has the ability to recognize and, particularly, separate aromatic hydrocarbons from aliphatic mixtures with high selectivity.

In the article, a novel fluorescent probe for the copper cation based on fluorescence quenching mechanism was designed. It exhibited high selectivity for Cu(II) over other common metal ions in aqueous media. A new TPE based low molecular weight gelator (LMWG) which displays both AIE and MCIE phenomena in gel state has been synthesized. CPG shows enhanced mechanical stability along with tunable emission properties.
