Non-linear Fisher’s equations are solved by using a spline method based on B-spline in the space direction and finite difference schema in the time direction. Numerical results reveal that spline method based on Bspline is implemented and effective.

In this paper we present least square B-spline finite element method for the Burgers' equation. Numerical solution has been obtained using the proposed technique and different comparisons have been made to check the accuracy of the method. Results are found satisfactory for the given test problems. Key WordsBurgers’ equation, Finite element method, Bspline functions.

A new optimization based meshing technique for block-structured meshes is presented. Given a topological block partition, sizes, and distance constraints, are generated automatically. The effort limited by using BSpline intermediate layer with reduced degrees of freedom, making it suitable high resolution meshes. itself minimizes approximated grid criteria defined in the domain. Sampling result...

The purpose of this paper is to represent the integral Hankel transform as a series. If one uses Bspline wavelet this series is a linear combination of the hypergeometrical functions. Numerical evaluation of the test function with known analytical Hankel transform of the null kind illustrates the proposed results. Key-Words: the Hankel transform, hypergeometrical function, B-spline wavelet.

We present a new algorithm for rescaling images inspired by fractal coding. It uses a statistical model of the relationship between detail at different scales of the image to interpolate detail at one octave above the highest spatial frequency in the original image. We compare it with Bspline and bilinear interpolation techniques and show that it yields a sharper looking rescaled image.

An automatic and local fairing algorithm for bicubic Bspline surfaces is proposed. A local fairness criterion selects the knot, where the spline surface has to be faired. A fairing step is than applied, which locally modi es the control net by a constrained least-squares approximation. It consists of increasing locally the smoothness of the surface from C to C. Some extensions of this method ar...
