A ZnO compact layer formed by electrodeposition and ZnO nanorods grown by chemical bath deposition (CBD) allow the processing of low-temperature, solution based and flexible solid state perovskite CH3NH3PbI3 solar cells. Conversion efficiencies of 8.90% were achieved on rigid substrates while the flexible ones yielded 2.62%.
ZnO microand nanostructures have been produced using a large number of different synthetic routes, and the applications that utilize their unique properties keep increasing. The 3.3 eV direct bandgap and 60 meV exciton binding energy is exploited in ultraviolet optoelectronics, room-temperature lasing, and solar cells applications; extremely long photocarrier lifetimes have been observed yieldi...
High-quality zinc oxide nanorods were grown on various substrates using zinc nitrate (Zn(NO3)2) and hexamethylenetetramine ((CH2)6N4). The substrates greatly affect the hydrothermal growth of ZnO nanorods. Making the best use the substrate effect, we engineered substrates to make a single nanorod in each hole of 100 nm × 100 nm in the array of the holes on the photoresist-patterned substrate. I...
In this study, the low temperature aqueous chemical growth (ACG) method was employed to synthesized ZnO nanorods to process-organic hybrid white light emitting diodes (LEDs) on glass substrate. Electroluminescence spectra of the hybrid white LEDs demonstrate the combination of emission bands arising from radiative recombination of the organic and ZnO nanorods (NRs). Depth resolved luminescence ...
ZnO thin films have been synthesized by means of a simple hydrothermal method with different solvents. The effect of deionized water content in the mixed solvents on the surface morphology, crystal structure, and optical property has been investigated by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and UV-Vis spectrophotometer. A large number of compact and well-aligned hexagonal ZnO nanoro...
A detailed study is reported of the synthesis and characterization of n-type ZnO nanomaterial and its application as temperature sensor. The ZnO nanomaterial has been synthesized through pyrolysis of the oxalate produced by a conventional precipitation method. It is synthesized by flash heating the oxalate at 450 ̊C for 15 min. Pellet of this material was prepared and used as a sensing element. ...
Silver-based hybrid nanomaterials are gaining interest as potential alternatives for conventional antimicrobial agents. Herein, we present a simple, facile and eco-friendly approach for the deposition of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) on ZnO nanorods, which act as a nanoreactor for in situ synthesis and as an immobilizing template in the presence of arginine. The presence of arginine enhanced the...
Self-assembly of densely packed ZnO nanorods were grown on Porous Silicon (PS) substrate by low-temperature chemical bath deposition. The structural and optical properties of the obtained ZnO nanostructure...
A simple hydrothermal route has been developed for the fabricating ZnO hierarchical micro/ nanostructure with excellent reproducibility. SEM and TEM analysis show that the hierarchical rod is a single-crystal, suggesting that many single-crystal micro/nanorods are assembled into ZnO hierarchical micro/nanostructures. The morphologies of the hierarchical rods can be conveniently tailored by chan...
ZnO nanorods and nanodisks were synthesized by solution process using zinc chloride as starting material. The morphology of ZnO crystal changed greatly depending on the concentrations of Zn(2+) ion and ethylene glycohol (EG) additive in the solution. The effect of thermal treatment on the morphology was investigated. Photocatalytic activities of plate-like Zn(5)(OH)(8)Cl(2) . H(2)O and rod-like...
