It is well known that constraint logic and functional-logic programming languages have many advantages, and there is a growing trend to develop and incorporate effective tools to this class of declarative languages. In particular, debugging tools are a practical need for diagnosing the causes of erroneous computations. Recently [1], we have presented a prototype tool for the declarative diagnos...

When estimating the Doppler frequency, it is common to use a covariance approach. This is especially true for applications such as underwater current profiling . The early developers of this technology made the assumption that the backscattered signal obeyed Gaussian properties. Based on that, a covariance approach have been used for the estimation of the center frequency I the Doppler signal. ...

Multipoint relays o er an optimized way of ooding packets in a radio network. However, this technique requires the last hop knowledge: to decide wether or not a ooding packet is retransmitted, a node needs to know from which node the packet was received. When considering broadcasting at IP level, this information may be di cult to obtain. We thus propose a scheme for computing an optimized conn...

P2 is a new and exciting system that permits declarative implementations of overlay networks. The recently published work cites reasonable implementations and performance for two protocols, Chord and Narada. Our work evaluates P2 through an implementation of a third protocol, the Paxos consensus protocol. P2’s declarative language Overlog, admitted a smooth and readable implementation of the Pa...

it is not possible to understand developments of a country’s culture and civilization without knowing his believes and myths. whether it is north or south, east or west, planes or mountains, sahara or deserts, here in iran every corner includes valuable and precious treasures which are known all over the world, and cultural – historical objects which are found here adorn all well known museums of the globe. zagros mountains, lorestan province locating at the heart of that, are not only the same, but are more prominent than other iranian regions. you can not find someone who does not know what the lorestani bronzes are, and there is no museum that not be pride of having a piece of that. the said bronzes which are manufactured four millenniums b.c. are admired nearly by all those researchers because of their beauty, diversity and technique. lorestani artistic works including stone engraves, bronzes and clays, show an ideal and metaphysical world beside real world which explain mental system of human beings on that era against sensations and phenomena happening around them. men main mental occupation on that time was he unknown world which had surrounded them, and they used to use the religion to fight life’s natural factors, and art was a tool of religious and mythical painting which was far from reality and had entered into the abstract domain. as natural objects have become subjects of lorestani art, it cleanses them from any non – intrinsic limitations and external factors which surround them and darken their meanings, and just shows their main specifications. artist in the said civilization is not searching for realism. although these are few works showing the nature, but in effect there is no wish to imitate touchable factors of the nature, and artist has turned real phenomena to encoded signs as per his own mentality. this procedure is called stylization.

Saccadic adaptation is the motor learning process that keeps saccade amplitudes on target. This process is eye position specific: amplitude adaptation that is induced for a saccade at one particular location in the visual field transfers incompletely to saccades at other locations. In our current study, we investigated wether this eye position signal corresponds to the initial or to the final e...

Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) is damage to spinal cord, which is categorized according to the extent of functional loss, sensation loss and inability of the subjects to stand and walk. The patients use two transportation systems including orthosis and wheelchair. It was claimed that standing and walking bring some benefits such as decreasing bone osteoporosis, prevention of pressure sores, and impro...

Three wether sheep equipped with re-entrant cannulae at the proximal duodenum and terminal ileum were given dried cocksfoot in the chopped or ground form and the samples of duodenal and ilea! digesta and faeces obtained for both diets were analysed for individual long-chain fatty acids. The total quantities of fatty acids entering the proximal duodenum (15.2 and 15.4 g/24 h on chopped and groun...

Thirty-two crossbred wether lambs (initial live-weight 31 kg) were fed on a diet (metabolizable energy (ME) 12.8 MJ/kg) ad lib. (ADLIB) or restricted to maintain body-weight (MAINT) for a 21 d period. On days 0, 7, 14 and 21, four lambs per treatment were slaughtered, visceral organs weighed and tissues sampled. During the 21 d period, ME intake in ADLIB lambs increased quadratically with an av...

It is not known if the ruminant animal gastrointestinal tract (GIT) can oxidise essential amino acids (AA) other than leucine. Therefore, the oxidation of four essential AA (leucine, lysine, methionine and phenylalanine), supplied systemically as labelled 1-13C forms, was monitored across the mesenteric-drained viscera (MDV; small intestine) and portal-drained viscera (PDV; total GIT), as part ...
