We report two cases of poliomyelitis in which an anterolateral thigh myocutaneous free flap was harvested from the paralytic limb for oral reconstruction. We observed a decrease in the pedicle diameter of the anterolateral thigh flap, but the blood supply to the skin paddle was adequate.

A 3D cationic Zn(II) framework, based on Zn2(CO2)4 paddle-wheel secondary building units (SBUs) and Zn16(CO2)32 polyhedral supramolecular building blocks (SBBs), has been synthesized. At room temperature, the framework undergoes guest solvent triggered reversible structural transformation and concomitant Zn(II) to Cu(II) transmetalation in a single-crystal to single-crystal fashion.

The centrosymmetric binuclear Cu(II) title complex, [Cu(2)(C(8)H(7)O(3))(4)(CH(3)CN)(2)], has a paddle-wheel-type structure [Cu-Cu distance = 2.6433 (3) Å]. Each Cu(II) ion is coordin-ated by four O atoms from two 3-meth-oxy-benzoate ligands and one acetonitrile N atom in a square-pyramidal geometry.

This paper describes the ARPong, a Pong game with augmented reality interaction. It is proposed a method of paddle control using a simple webcam and markerless motion capture based on optical flow. Three algorithms are described to achieve better playability according to the environment, with no need of calibrating process.

This paper examines the possibility of using Artificial Neural Networks to control AI for simple computer games, specifically pong. Simple games have always been popular, but AI opponents have routines that are easily predictable. Ultimately, the methods attempted in this paper did not create Artificial Neural Net controllers capable of controlling the paddle to hit the ball reliably.
