Background & Aims of the Study: Organic dyes with a complex structure are often toxic, carcinogenic, mutagenic, non-biodegradation and stable in the environment and if released to the environment without treatment can endanger the environment and human health. The aim of this study was to evaluate the performance of H2O2 and H2O2/Fe0 Iron in removal of dye Acid Red 18 from aque...

The removal of color from synthetic wastewater containing Congo red was experimentally investigated using electrocoagulation process. The effects of operational parameters such as current density, electrolysis time, electrolyte concentration, electrode distance, initial dye concentration, initial pH and temperature on color removal efficiency were investigated in this study. The tentative resul...

Background and Objectives: The development a low-cost and high efficiency water treatment technology to decolorize the organic dye effluents is desirable due to overwhelming discharge of organic synthetic dyes into the natural water cycle during the dying process. In this study, the decolorization of Acid Black 26, as the model organic contaminant, was investigated using immobilized nano-sized ...

Introduction: Dyes are visible materials and are considered as one of the hazardous components that make up industrial waste. Therefore it is removed from bodies of water, using various methods. In this regard, the Fenton oxidation process is one of the most effective ways to remove colored contaminants in aquatic environments, which has many applications today. Materials and Methods: In this...

In the current work, we have explored a novel synthetic route towards metalated porphycenes and their use in p-type NiO-based dye-sensitized solar cells. Particular emphasis is placed on the influence that the relative positioning of the anchoring group exerts on the DSSC performance.

We report a competition assay using our recently reported dye Mallard Blue, which allows us to identify synthetic heparin binders in competitive media, including human serum - using this we gain insight into the ability of PAMAM dendrimers to bind heparin, with the interesting result that low-generation G2-PAMAM is the preferred heparin binder.

The pollution due to dyes from textile sector is one of the major issues faced worldwide. This study was focused on removal reactive dye, Drimaren Turquoise CL-B using Schizophyllum commune, a white rot fungus (WRF) keeping in mind current environmental conditions. Different parameters like pH, sources carbon & nitrogen, temperature, concentration dye and C/N ratio were used investigate the...

The functionalised metal-organic framework MIL-101(Cr)-NH(2), containing 2-aminobenzene-1,4-dicarboxylate as the linker, has been synthesised. A new tandem post-synthetic modification strategy involving diazotisation as the first step has been developed and used to introduce halo- and azo dye-functional groups into the pores.

Major part of the aesthetics and beauty idols, textiles, paper, paintings industries, etc. finds its roots in use colours (azo compound). These synthetic dyes can not degrade easily by physical chemical means are toxic for environment animals including humans. Even if they get degraded, it becomes difficult to rid secondary products. Microbes especially bacteria be used which results cheap, eco...
