In this paper, we derive conditions on the parameters a, b, c so that the function zF (a, b; c; z) is starlike in D, where F (a, b; c; z) denotes the classical hypergeometric function. We give some consequences of our results including some mapping properties of convolution operator.
We present a study of equilibrium chain-exchange kinetics of a well-defined model system for starlike polymeric micelles. The results show that the kinetics follows a logarithmic time dependence. The same feature has been confirmed for two other micellar systems. This is in sharp contrast to theoretical predictions and hints towards strongly coupled chain dynamics within the micellar cores indu...
In terms of Wright generalized hypergeometric function we define a class of analytic functions. The class generalize well known classes of k-starlike functions and k-uniformly convex functions. Necessary and sufficient coefficient bounds are given for functions in this class. Further distortion bounds, extreme points and results on partial sums are investigated.
For functions f(z) which are starlike of order α, convex of order α, and λ-spirallike of order α in the open unit disk U, some interesting sufficient conditions involving coefficient inequalities for f(z) are discussed. Several (known or new) special cases and consequences of these coefficient inequalities are also considered.
We consider the class of univalent functions f(z)= z+a3z3+a4z4+··· analytic in the unit disc and satisfying |(z2f ′(z)/f 2(z))−1|< 1, and show that such functions are starlike if they satisfy |(z2f ′(z)/f 2(z))−1|< (1/√2).
If the Lorentzian norm on a maximal surface in the 3-dimensional Lorentz-Minkowski space R 1 is positive and proper, then the surface is relative parabolic. As a consequence, entire maximal graphs with a closed set of isolated singularities are relative parabolic. Furthermore, maximal and minimal graphs over closed starlike domains in R 1 and R, respectively, are relative parabolic.
Making use of Linear operator theory, we define a new subclass of uniformly convex functions and a corresponding subclass of starlike functions with negative coefficients. The main object of this paper is to obtain coefficient estimates distortion bounds, closure theorems and extreme points for functions belonging to this new class. The results are generalized to families with fixed finitely ma...
Necessary and sufficient coefficient bounds and convolution condition for certain multivalent harmonic functions whose convolution with generalized hypergeometric functions is starlike of order γ are investigated. Results on extreme points, convex combination and distortion bounds using the coefficient condition are also obtained. 2010 Mathematics Subject Classification: 30C45, 30C50
In this paper, we introduce some new subclasses of analytic functions related to starlike, convex, close-to-convex and quasi-convex functions defined by using a generalized operator. Inclusion relationships for these subclasses are established. Also, we introduce some integral-preserving properties. Moreover, connections of the results presented here with those obtained in earlier works are poi...
