Using the Graz full rate kHz SLR data, we determined the spin rate and spin direction of the satellite AJISAI as well as its slow down between 2003/10 and 2005/06. The high density of the kHz data results in a precise scanning of the satellite’s retroreflector panel orientation during the spin motion. Applying spectral analysis methods, the resulting frequencies allow identification of the arra...

Background and purpose: Social phobia is a prevalent psychiatric disorder that negatively influences different aspects of life. Developing a simple and effective tool is necessary in epidemiological studies and clinical screening to assess the individuals suffering from social phobia. This study aimed at investigating the reliability and validity of the Social Phobia Inventory (SPIN) among stud...

Despite residing in an energetically and structurally disordered landscape, the spin degree of freedom remains a robust quantity in organic semiconductor materials due to the weak coupling of spin and orbital states. This enforces spin-selectivity in recombination processes which plays a crucial role in optoelectronic devices, for example, in the spin-dependent recombination of weakly bound ele...

Abstract Background In previous studies that analyzed the biomechanics of spin bowling with a smart cricket ball, it was evident not all torque applied to ball converted into rate, varying losses among different bowlers. This study aims investigate factors contributing these losses. Methods Developed in 2011, world's first intelligent features five physical and skill performance parameters. Our...

A problem as old as NMR is that of the influence of motion on the shape of the NMR absorption signal, or equivalently the shape of the FID. Although it is known that motion means narrowing, only two limiting cases are well defined. In the rigid solid, one has a clean theoretical expression for the FID function, in terms of the secular part 3TSS of the spin-spin interactions, most of the time es...

In the present work, we have obtained the equation of state for neutron star matter considering the in uence of the ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic spin state. We have also investigated the structure of neutron stars. According to our results, the spin asymmetry stiens the equation of state and leads to high mass for the neutron star.

We present a detailed theoretical analysis of the noble-gas nuclear spin relaxation due to the anisotropic magnetic-dipole hyperfine interaction between the noble-gas nucleus and alkali-metal valence electron vis à vis the already well-understood (spin-conserving) isotropic magnetic-dipole hyperfine interaction in alkali-metal–noble-gas systems. We find that, for all pairs in which the noblegas...

We study the effect of the kick velocity – neutron star spin alignment observed in young radio pulsars on the coalescence rate of binary neutron stars. The effect is shown to be especially strong for large kick amplitudes and tight alignments, reducing the galactic rate of binary neutron star coalescences up to an order of magnitude with respect to the rates calculated for random kicks. The spi...

Triplet-singlet spin relaxation in a vertical electrostatic quantum dot containing two interacting electrons is studied with a realistic model that includes the effects of finite thickness and screening. The spin relaxation mechanism is taken to be spin mixing via the part of the Dresselhaus Hamiltonian that is linear in the lateral momentum. The electron-electron interaction enhances relaxatio...

The aim of this thesis is to formulate and prove quantum extensions of the famous Shannon-McMillan theorem and its stronger version due to Breiman. In ergodic theory the Shannon-McMillan-Breiman theorem is one of the fundamental limit theorems for classical discrete dynamical systems. It can be interpreted as a special case of the individual ergodic theorem. In this work, we consider spin latti...
