A general view of the different strategies used in the last years to enhance the detection sensitivity in chiral analysis by CE is provided in this article. With this purpose and in order to update the previous review by García-Ruiz et al., the articles appeared on this subject from January 2005 to March 2007 are considered. Three were the main strategies employed to increase the detection sens...

In multi-agent systems, norms specify ideal behaviour. Agents, however, are autonomous, and may fail to comply with the ideal. Contrary to Duty obligations can be used to specify reparational behaviour that mitigates the effects of a violation. In addition to specifying reparational behaviours, it is important to understand how robust a system is against possible violations. Depending on what k...

Compilation. This section describes how to transform a program P into an abstract program P, which can be seen as an abstraction of P with respect to the chosen size measure α. The translation is based on replacing each instruction by (linear) constraints which describe its behaviour with respect to the size measure. For example, the instruction x := new C can be replaced by the constraint x = ...

We present Goblint, a static analyzer for detecting potential data races in the multithreaded C code. The implemented analysis is sound on a “safe” subset of C and sufficiently efficient to be used for race-detection of multithreaded programs up to about 25 thousand lines of code. It uses a global invariant approach to avoid the state space explosion problem and is both contextand path-sensitive.

A precondition of existing ensemble-based distributed data mining techniques is the assumption that contributing data are identically and independently distributed. However, this assumption is not valid in many virtual organization contexts because contextual heterogeneity exists. Focusing on regression tasks, this paper proposes a contextbased meta-learning technique for horizontally partition...

We propose a verification method for parameterized systems with global conditions. The method is based on context-sensitive constraints, a symbolic representation of infinite sets of configurations defined on top of words over a finite alphabet. We first define contextsensitive constraints for an exact symbolic backward analysis of parameterized systems with global conditions. Since the model i...

Utilization of temperature-sensit ive mutants of Tetrahymena pyriformis affected in cell division or developmental pathway selection has permit ted elucidation of causal dependencies interrelating micronuclear and macronuclear replication and division, oral development , and cytokinesis. In those mutants in which cell division is specifically blocked at restrictive temperatures , micronuclear d...

This paper presents a technique for dependence analysis on programs with pointers or dynamic recursive data structures. It differs from previously proposed approaches in analyzing structure access conflicts between traversal patterns before gathering alias and connection information. Conflict analysis is conducted under the assumption that each unique path leads to a distinct storage location, ...

to determine the droplet characteristics of agricultural spray nozzles through water sensitive paper (wsp), the non-circular and overlapped spots appearing on the water sensitive paper surfaces are eliminated. in the conventional approach, the procedure is done according to the subjective self determined estimation of the operator. the objective of this study was to develop a practical alternat...
