s of Talks In alphabetical order SECOND ORDER CONVERGENCE OF A LIE GROUP TIME INTEGRATION METHOD FOR CONSTRAINED MECHANICAL SYSTEMS Martin Arnold MARTIN LUTHER UNIVERSITY HALLE-WITTENBERG Classical ODE and DAE time integration methods have been applied successfully for more than two decades to constrained systems in technical mechanics. For large scale systems, Newmark type integrators are cons...
a second-order leader-following consensus algorithm in multi-agent systems with directed network topologies and heterogeneous input delays, which generalized the previous work [1] from the case of symmetric coupling weights to that of asymmetric coupling weights. Some sufficient conditions for reaching second-order consensus in a leader-following context were derived by utilizing the Gershgorin...
Total Generalized Variation (TGV) has recently been introduced as penalty functional for modelling images with edges as well as smooth variations [2]. It can be interpreted as a “sparse” penalization of optimal balancing from the first up to the kth distributional derivative and leads to desirable results when applied to image denoising, i.e., L-fitting with TGV penalty. The present paper studi...
Generalized linear models have become the most commonly used class of regression models in the analysis of a large variety of data. In particular, generalized linear model can be used to model the relationship between predictors and a function of the mean of a continuous or discrete response variable. The estimation of the parameters of the model can be carried out by maximum likelihood or quas...
This paper is concerned with generalized second-order contingent epiderivatives of frontier and solution maps in parametric vector optimization problems. Under some mild conditions, we obtain some formulas for computing generalized second-order contingent epiderivatives of frontier and solution maps, respectively. We also give some examples to illustrate the corresponding results.
In this paper the discrete Fourier transform is used to determine the coefficients of a transfer function of a new twodimensional model of second-order: x(i1 +2, i2 +2) = A0x(i1 +1, i2 +1)+A1x(i1 +1, i2)+A2x(i1, i2 +1). The algorithm is straightforward and has been implemented using the software package Matlab . Two step-by-step examples illustrating the application of the algorithm are presented.
Total variation was recently introduced in many different magnetic resonance imaging applications. The assumption of total variation is that images consist of areas, which are piecewise constant. However, in many practical magnetic resonance imaging situations, this assumption is not valid due to the inhomogeneities of the exciting B1 field and the receive coils. This work introduces the new co...
We generalize the notion of submersive second-order differential equations by relaxing the condition that the decoupling stems from the tangent lift of a basic distribution. It is shown that this leads to adapted coordinates in which a number of first-order equations decouple from the remaining secondorder ones.
We consider the system of homogeneous Dirichlet boundary value problems (*) Liu = A[an(x)u + a\2(x)v], L2V = ti[ai2{x)u + a.22{x)v] in a smooth bounded domain fi C R", where Li and £2 are formally selfadjoint second-order strongly uniformly elliptic operators. Using linear perturbation theory, continuation methods, and the Courant-Hilbert variational eigenvalue characterization, we give a detai...
