We show how in a class of models Peccei–Quinn symmetry can be realized as an automatic consequence of a gauged U (1) family symmetry. These models provide a solution to the strong CP problem either via a massless u–quark or via the DFSZ invisible axion. The local family symmetry protects against potentially large corrections to θ induced by quantum gravitational effects. In a supersymmet-ric ex...
Organizational configuration affects a number of management components, both hard and soft. Hard components include: organizational structure, strategy control, soft are: culture, learning, leadership, motivation, organization power, change, rewarding employees, evaluating performance connection between individual organization. Therefore, it can be said that culture. The creates framework in wh...
We first consider local cosmic strings in dilaton-axion gravity and show that they are singular solutions. Then we take a supermassive Higgs limit and present expressions for the fields at far distances from the core by applying a Pecci-Quinn and a duality transformation to the dilatonic Melvin’s magnetic universe. QCD in a five-dimensional sliced bulk with chiral extra-quarks on the boundaries is generically free from the strong CP problem. Accidental axial symmetry is naturally present except for suppressed breaking interactions, which plays a role of the Peccei-Quinn symmetry to make the strong CP phase sufficiently small.
An extremely precise global symmetry is necessary in the Peccei–Quinn solution to the strong CP problem. Such symmetry arises when colored chiral fermions are localized in an internal space. We present a supersymmetric model that incorporates the above mechanism. Extra colored chiral multiplets around the supersymmetry-breaking scale are a generic prediction of the supersymetric model.
We study the possibility of mixed dark matter obtained through the phase space distribution of a single particle. An example is offered in the context of SUSY models with a Peccei-Quinn symmetry. Axinos in the 100 keV range can naturally have both thermal and non-thermal components. The latter one arises from the lightest neutralino decays and derelativizes at z ∼ 10 4 .
