We consider maps between Riemannian manifolds in which the map is a stationary point of the nonlinear Hodge energy. The variational equations of this functional form a quasilinear, nondiagonal, nonuniformly elliptic system which models certain kinds of compressible flow. Conditions are found under which singular sets of prescribed dimension cannot occur. Continuity results are given for the tra...

In this paper, we construct a local supersonic flow in 3-dimensional axis-symmetry nozzle when uniform inserts the throat. We apply existence theory of boundary value problem for quasilinear hyperbolic system to solve problem. The condition is set particular guarantee character number condition. By trick, can be employed large range

We present a methodology for stabilization of general nonlinear systems with actuator dynamics governed by a certain class of, quasilinear, first-order hyperbolic PDEs. Since for such PDE–ODE cascades the speed of propagation depends on the PDE state itself (which implies that the prediction horizon cannot be a priori known analytically), the key design challenge is the determination of the pre...

In this paper, the  optical properties of a semi-infinite medium composed of graphen-based hyperbolic meta-materials with the optical axis were tilted with respect to its boundary with air, by using the  Maxwell equations; then  the homogeneous effective medium approximation method was  studied. The results showed that the orientation of the structure layers (geometric induced anisotropy) affec...

In this paper difference methods to solve "fuzzy partial differential equations" (FPDE) such as fuzzy hyperbolic and fuzzy parabolic equations are considered. The existence of the solution and stability of the method are examined in detail. Finally examples are presented to show that the Hausdorff  distance between the exact solution and approximate solution tends to zero.

An important question in mathematical relativity theory is that of the nature of spacetime singularities. The equations of general relativity, the Einstein equations, are essentially hyperbolic in nature and the study of spacetime singularities is naturally related to blow-up phenomena for nonlinear hyperbolic systems. These connections are explained and recent progress in applying the theory o...
