We shall consider generated pseudo-operations of the following form: x⊕ y = g(−1) (g(x) + g(y)) , x ̄ y = g(−1) (g(x)g(y)) , where g is a positive strictly monotone generating function and g(−1) is its pseudo-inverse. Using this type of pseudo-operations, the Riemann-Stieltjes type integral will be introduced and investigated.
A “strong” cryptographic hash function suitable for practical applications should simultaneously satisfy many security properties, like pseudo-randomness, collision resistance and unforgeability. This paper shows how to combine two hash function families each satisfying different security property into one hash function family, which satisfies both properties. In particular, given two hash func...
We consider the approximation problem of a pseudo-Boolean function by a symmetric pseudo-Boolean function in the sense of weighted least squares. We give explicit expressions for the approximation and provide interpretations and properties of its L-statistic representation. We also discuss applications of these expressions in cooperative game theory and engineering reliability.
Distributions that are highly concentrated in the time-frequency plane are presented. Since the idea for these distributions originated from the Wigner representation in the quantum mechanics, a review of this representation is done in the first part of the paper. Abstracting the physical sense of the quantum mechanics representation, we defined the “pseudo quantum” signal representation. On th...
In this paper, we introduce a new class of generalized convex function, namely, α-pseudounivex function, by combining the concepts of pseudo-univex and α-invex functions. Further, we establish some relationships between vector variational-like inequality problems and vector optimization problems under the assumptions of α-pseudo-univex functions. Results obtained in this paper present a refinem...
Fitness sharing has been used widely in genetic algorithms for multi-objective function optimization and machine learning. It is often implemented with a scaling function, which adjusts an individual's raw tness to improve the performance of the genetic algorithm. However, choosing a scaling function is an ad hoc a air that lacks su cient theoretical foundation, and which often gives results th...
The natural pseudo-distance is a similarity measure conceived for the purpose of comparing shapes. In this paper we revisit this pseudo-distance from the point of view of quotients. In particular, we show that the natural pseudo-distance coincides with the quotient pseudo-metric on the space of continuous functions on a compact manifold, endowed with the uniform convergence metric, modulo self-...
sorption reactions in many heterogeneous systems are important. adsorption is a time dependent process and knowing the adsorption rate is essential for designing, evaluating and recovering the adsorbents. at the present study, an ammonium adsorption kinetic experiment by some soils series of golestan provice, which is varying in mineralogical and textural properties was conducted using solution...
Pancreatic islets are heterogeneous clusters mainly composed of α and β cells, and these clusters range in diameter from 50 to several hundred micrometers. Native small islets are known to have a higher insulin secretion ability in vitro and to provide better transplantation outcomes when compared with large islets. In this study, we prepared microengineered pseudo-islets from dispersed rat isl...
We prove two kinds of Lyapunov type inequalities for pseudo-integrals. One discusses pseudo-integrals where pseudo-operations are given by a monotone and continuous function g. The other one focuses on the pseudo-integrals based on a semiring 0; 1 ½ ; sup; ð Þ , where the pseudo-multiplication is generated. Some examples are given to illustrate the validity of these inequalities. As a generali...
