A 68-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital because of left ventricular failure. Myocardial perfusion single-photon emission computed tomography demonstrated a non-reversible perfusion defect in the anterolateral left ventricular segments and reduced ejection fraction, findings consisted with ischemic cardiomyopathy accompanied by lateral wall infarction. Coronary angiogram was normal, but...

Sixteen acromegalic patients underwent echocardiography, phonocardiography, stress electrocardiography with Thallium perfusion scanning and gated radioisotope left ventricular angiocardiograms. Abnormalities consisting of increased echo left ventricular mass index, low velocity of circumferential fiber shortening or elevated pre-ejection period to left ventricular ejection time ratio were found...

Sepsis-induced cardiomyopathy is a reversible myocardial dysfunction that typically resolves in 7-10 days. It is characterized by left ventricular dilatation and depressed ejection fraction. However, many uncertainties exist regarding the mechanisms, characteristics, and treatments of this condition. Therefore, this review attempts to summarize our current knowledge of sepsis-induced cardiomyop...

Arrhythmia induced cardiomyopathy is a condition characterised by either a tachyarrhythmia (also known as a tachycardia induced cardiomyopathy or tachycardiomyopathy) or frequent ventricular ectopy (also known as ectopy induced cardiomyopathy) that results in left ventricular dysfunction and heart failure. In addition, the dysfunction is partially or completely reversible once control of the ta...

Semantically reversible sentences are prone to misinterpretation and take longer for typically developing children and adults to comprehend; they are also particularly problematic for those with language difficulties such as aphasia or Specific Language Impairment. In our study, we used fMRI to compare the processing of semantically reversible and nonreversible sentences in 41 healthy participa...

Stress-induced cardiomyopathy, in contrast to acute myocardial infarction, is a type of heart failure characterized by reversible left ventricular dysfunction. Cardiac imaging primarily reveals ventricle stunning, 81.7% which apical type. Emotional or psychological stress usually precedes the onset stress-induced increasingly being recognized as unique neurogenic stunning disease. To distinguis...

Transient left ventricular apical dyskinesia accompanied by chest pain, mimicking acute coronary syndrome, dynamic reversible ST-T segment abnormalities, minimal myocardial enzymes release disproportionate to the extent of dyskinesia,in the absence of obstructive epicardial coronary artery disease is characteristic of transient left ventricular apical ballooning syndrome.1 It was first describe...

The achiral liquid crystalline materials showing two B4 (HN) phases have been found to exhibit strong gelation ability for various organic solvents with reversible sol-gel phase transition. The gel is formed by helical tubules, which build entangled 3D network, encapsulating the solvent. The equilibrium of left- and right-handed tubules is preserved in the gel, even if the chiral solvent is used.

In this paper, we provide existence and convergence theorems of common fixed points for left (or right) reversible semitopological semigroups of total asymptotically nonexpansive mappings in uniformly convex Banach spaces. The results presented in this paper extend and improve some recent results announced by other authors.

Starting from an abstract setting which extends the property \skip{free to the left" for transition matrices to a partition of the state space, we develop bounds for the mean hitting time to an arbitrary subset from an arbitrary initial law. We illustrate our theory with an asymptotic analysis of a non{reversible Markovian star network with loss.
