BACKGROUND Serum phosphorus control is critical for chronic kidney disease (CKD) 5D patients. Currently, clinical profile for an oral phosphorus binder in the mainland Chinese population is not available. OBJECTIVE To establish the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of lanthanum carbonate in CKD 5D patients. DESIGN Multicenter, randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled study. A central r...

The extraction-separation of lanthanum and europium ions with bis(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (DEHPA) in cyclohexane was improved by adding 12-crown-4 (12C4) to the aqueous phase as a masking agent. In the presence of this crown ether the extraction curve of lanthanum ions versus pH shifts to the higher pH region, while the curve is not influenced for the europium ions. Consequently the s...

nano-sized batio3 powders with particular nb concentrations were prepared by rotary- hydrothermal (rh) method. hydrothermal method was used at 180 °c for 5 hours with new ti pressure and the teflon vessel was rotated at a speed of 160 rpm during the hydrothermal reaction. new hydrothermal method was used instead of previous solid state reaction for the system batio3±nb2o3 in high temperature to...

Organic-inorganic halide perovskites have emerged as a promising family of functional materials for advanced photovoltaic and optoelectronic applications with high performances and low costs. Various chemical methods and processing approaches have been employed to modify the compositions, structures, morphologies, and electronic properties of hybrid perovskites. However, challenges still remain...

We show that post-synthetic small-molecule intercalation can significantly reduce the electronic confinement of 2D hybrid perovskites. Using a combined experimental and theoretical approach, we explain structural, optical, and electronic effects of intercalating highly polarizable molecules in layered perovskites designed to stabilize the intercalants. Polarizable molecules in the organic layer...

Hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites represent a special class of metal-organic framework where a molecular cation is encased in an anionic cage. The molecule-cage interaction influences phase stability, phase transformations, and the molecular dynamics. We examine the hydrogen bonding in four AmBX3 formate perovskites: [Am]Zn(HCOO)3, with Am+ = hydrazinium (NH2NH3+), guanidinium (C(NH2)3+), di...

CH3NH3PbI3 based photodetectors were fabricated by a facile low-cost process with much enhanced performance. The rise time changed from 2.7 s to 0.02 s, the decay time from 0.5 s to 0.02 s, and the ON/OFF ratio tripled with improved stability. The results indicate that perovskites are promising light-harvesting materials for photodetectors.

Lead halide perovskites hold promise for photonic devices, due to their superior optoelectronic properties. However, their use is limited by poor stability and toxicity. We demonstrate enhanced water and light stability of high-surface-area colloidal perovskite nanocrystals by encapsulation of colloidal CsPbBr3 quantum dots into matched hydrophobic macroscale polymeric matrices. This is achieve...
