Globalization requires new methods of delivering education and training, partly to enhance traditional methods of knowledge acquisition and to impart new skills and tools (Adam, Awerbuch, Slonim, Wegner and Yesha, 1997). Traditional classroom learning doesn’t seem to fit well with the notion of lifelong learning, since it requires the physical presence of instructors and students. It is instruc...

Simulation offers the most efficient adjunct in education and “refresher” training of medical personnel. However, simulation devices and facilities are expensive and the combination of cost, distance from the training centers, and professional constraints prevent medical personnel in rural and remote regions from simulation-based training. We have demonstrated that fiscal and logistic barriers ...

Mobile learning (M-Learning) is the point where mobile computing and e-learning intersect to produce an anytime, anywhere learning experiences. Advances in mobile technologies have enhanced M-learning tools at just the right moment to meet the need for more costeffective just in time information. Electronic Learning offer methods, which decrease the limitations of traditional education but M-le...

The most important advantage of an economic order quantity (EOQ) system is its ability to handle the unexpected demand. A model for comparing the inventory costs of purchasing under the EOQ system and the just-in-time (JIT) order purchasing system in existing literature concluded that JIT purchasing was virtually always the preferable inventory ordering system. By expanding the classical EOQ mo...

Task-specific cueing formats that promote the automation and construction of problemsolving schemas should ideally be presented just in time to students learning to solve complex problems. This article reports experimental work comparing learner-controlled cueing, system-controlled cueing, and no cueing among 34 sophomore law students in a multimedia practical aimed at learning to prepare and h...

Many problems that learners regularly encounter during discovery learning with computer-based simulations have been identified. A number of studies have examined different ways of support for discovery learning by facilitating the learning process. This study examines the effect of facilitating access to prior knowledge through just-in-time information. It is expected that access to just-in-tim...

In the JIT assembly system, if any supplier does not deliver the raw materials or components on time, or in the right quantity, the core manufacturers will not assemble on the schedule, which will bring great loss to the whole supply chain and greatly reduce the competitiveness and collaboration of the entire supply chain. Based on a survey on supply chain collaboration and operation model, sup...

Biomechanics and movement science are rapidly growing fields in academia and industry. However, research suggests that many biomechanics and exercise science graduates are not prepared [1,2]. A key approach to improving the learning outcomes in these fields may reside in improving the classroom educational practices. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to evaluate how different teaching mo...

Lead time performance of entire production operations, but also the whole supply chain is widely discussed issue in the contemporary supply chain research. After Just-in-Time (JIT) revolution during 80’s, most of the researchers were thinking that lead time is not major research interest subject, after companies have implemented new methods in production and supplier network related operations ...
