Meningiomas are mostly benign intradural tumors. Concerning the spine, some of them can extend outside canal or even develop extradurally but their primary attach is often located in vertebral canal. Here we present case an exceptional purely intraforaminal meningioma mimicking a neurogenic tumor, involving artery and presenting with cervicobrachial neuralgia slight motor deficit.

Capillary hemangiomas are benign tumors found in the skin and soft tissues in younger people. They occur in the central nervous system only rarely, and intradural occurrence is extremely rare. We report here a 60-year-old man presenting with thoracic girdle pain and progressive gait disturbance. Magnetic resonance images of the thoracic spine showed a 12 × 8 × 20 mm, well-defined intradural mas...

Aims: Calcifying pseudoneoplasms of the neuroaxis (CPN) are rare, poorly understood lesions of the central nervous system that pose a diagnostic challenge because they mimic the more common calcified lesions of the neuroaxis. We highlight the relevant clinical presentation as well as radiological and histopathological features unique to intraspinal CPNs. Presentation of Case: We present the cas...

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE The distal dural ring (DDR) represents the anatomic border between the extradural and intradural internal carotid arteries (ICAs). The purpose of this study was to examine whether 3D-MR cisternography and MR angiography (MRA) fusion images can identify the boundary between the CSF and the cavernous sinus, which might represent the DDR. MATERIALS AND METHODS Thirty-six c...

BACKGROUND Dermoid tumors are slow growing, benign CNS lesions. CASE DESCRIPTION This case study concerns a 29-year-old female with a 6-year history of lower extremity paresthesias attributed to magnetic resonance (MR)/computed tomography (CT) documented intradural dermoid tumor that extended from L1 to S1. On MR, it was hypointense on T1, hyperintense on T2, and did not enhance with gadolini...
