This paper addresses connections between J. R. Kantor's interbehavioral psychology and humanism. It discusses numerous ways in which interbehavioral thinking is humanistic. Kantor's naturalism and human-oriented historiography have foundations in the original humanism of Hellenic times. His secular orientation, cyclical theory of history, respect for Greek thought, independent critical thinking...
In this programmatic paper we develop an account of embodied cognition based on the inseparability of cognitive and emotional processing in the brain. We argue that emotions are best understood in terms of action readiness [1, 2] in the context of the organism’s ongoing skillful engagement with the environment [3, 4, 5]. States of action readiness involve the whole living body of the organism, ...
Delay of squeezing and entanglement using electromagnetically induced transparency in a vapour cell.
We demonstrate experimentally the delay of squeezed light and entanglement using Electromagnetically Induced Transparency (EIT) in a rubidium vapour cell. We perform quadrature amplitude measurements of the probe field and find no appreciable excess noise from the EIT process. From input squeezing of 3.2+/-0.5 dB at low sideband frequencies, we observed the survival of 2.0+/-0.5 dB of squeezing...
Entanglement of two distant macroscopic objects is a key element for implementing large-scale quantum networks consisting of quantum channels and quantum nodes. Entanglement swapping can entangle two spatially separated quantum systems without direct interaction. Here we propose a scheme of deterministically entangling two remote atomic ensembles via continuous-variable entanglement swapping be...
This paper engages with the curriculum at Madame de Maintenon's school for girls Saint-Cyr to raise and address a set of questions: What is it teach someone reason? The curricular materials suggest that learning reason matter practice. How one distinguish autonomous giving from habituation or automatic trained responses? can practices in informed by social mores have objective validity? Moreove...
This article examines the construction of identity and ‘particular social group’ (PSG) under 1951 Refugee Convention. In particular, it analyses ways in which a non-binary asylum claimant is discussed Mx M case UK, what implications this might be for project queering PSG. The identifies four central challenges navigating PSG, informed by Judith Butler’s notion ‘double movement’. These are deman...
We study the non-equilibrium dynamics of two coupled oscillators interacting with their own heat baths quantum scalar fields at different temperature $T_1$ and $T_2$ bilinear couplings between them. particularly focus on entanglement or inseparability property states. The critical temperatures respective oscillators, $T_{1c}$ $T_{2c}$, higher than which disappears, can be determined. It is foun...
Based on prolonged apprenticeship with the indigenous Gente de Centro from Colombian Amazonia, this article discusses their research methodologies and challenges they pose to ethnographic knowledge. Indigenous suggest that modern disenchanted method, its semi-structured interviews, focus groups, data collection design, is inadequate account for a world in which everything speaks does so unexpec...
This article is the result of a bibliographical review works Heleieth Saffioti, comparing them with Feminist Manifesto Cinzia Arruzza, Tithi Bhattacharya and Nancy Fraser. Such analysis intends to answer question: it possible overcome gender violence, attending demands exploited classes, separating from issues class ethnicity? It assumed that, in order meet needs populations, inseparability cat...
