We prove that if a paratopological group G is a continuous image of an arbitrary product of regular Lindelöf Σ-spaces, then it is R-factorizable and has countable cellularity. If in addition, G is regular, then it is totally ω-narrow and satisfies celω(G) ≤ ω, and the Hewitt–Nachbin completion of G is again an R-factorizable paratopological group.
In this paper, we aim at the completion problem of high order tensor data with missing entries. The existing tensor factorization and completion methods suffer from the curse of dimensionality when the order of tensor N >> 3. To overcome this problem, we propose an efficient algorithm called TT-WOPT (Tensor-train Weighted OPTimization) to find the latent core tensors of tensor data and recover ...
In this study we examined the perception of one- and two-dimensional patterns across central retinal scotomas, caused by age-related macular degeneration. In contrast with previous studies of disrupted visual input that used the blind spot and artificial scotomas, the current study used large central scotomas caused by physical retinal damage. Such damage is associated with atrophy and long-ter...
PERCEPTUAL COMPLETION OF OCCLUDED SURFACES February 1994 LANCE R. WILLIAMS B.S., Pennsylvania State University M.S., University of Massachusetts Amherst Ph.D., University of Massachusetts Amherst Directed by: Professor Allen R. Hanson Researchers in computer vision have primarily studied the problem of visual reconstruction of environmental structure that is plainly visible. In this thesis, the...
Face completion is an important topic in the field of computer vision and image processing. Its core task to restore information, so that generated results are as consistent possible with ground-truth results. In existing methods, there no strong constraint on consistency between result true value, symmetry characteristics face ignored, which makes it impossible generate a natural for any posit...
Tensor completion is an important topic in the area of image processing and computer vision research, which is generally built on extraction of the intrinsic structure of the tensor data. Drawing on this fact, action classification, relying heavily on the extracted features of high-dimensional tensors, may indeed benefit from tensor completion techniques. In this paper, we propose a low-rank te...
UNLABELLED This study provides morphometric data on radiation-induced alterations of the facial nerve in female Wistar rats. The facial nerves were explanted 3 to 4 or 7 to 9 months after completion of a fractionated external irradiation of the left side of the neck (5 days per week, 6 weeks, total: 60 Gray). Both facial nerves were investigated in order to identify possible effects of scattere...
We have addressed the question of whether the brain's capacity to resolve an ambiguous retinal image depends upon the activity of early visual areas or whether it involves the investment of the received image with higher order cognitive hypotheses. To resolve the issue, we have used the technique of positron emission tomography to detect increases in regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) in the b...
Video completion is a computer vision technique to recover the missing values in video sequences by filling the unknown regions with the known information. In recent research, tensor completion, a generalization of matrix completion for higher order data, emerges as a new solution to estimate the missing information in video with the assumption that the video frames are homogenous and correlate...
