A policy of expectant management until 32 weeks of gestation in 29 dichorionic pregnancies discordant for growth retardation resulted in an overall mortality of 24% (95% CI 13.9-37.2%) and a handicap of 2.2% (95% CI 0-12.0%). None of the normally grown co-twins died or was handicapped as a result of iatrogenic prematurity.

Cushing's syndrome is a state of cortisol excess, possibly from a tumor in the pituitary gland, the adrenal gland, or an ectopic nonpituitary ACTH-secreting source. The first form, pituitary in origin, was originally described by Harvey Cushing, MD, and was labeled as Cushing's disease. Long-term therapy with glucocorticoids also can lead to iatrogenic Cushing's syndrome.

CASE REPORT Two cases of bilateral ocular toxicity following chloroquine therapy in two women with systemic lupus erythematosus are presented. DISCUSSION Retinal toxicity due to chloroquine is an uncommon iatrogenic disease. It is dose-dependent. New cases are still being described despite the application of ophthalmic screening techniques.
