We present an experimental study of the statistics of surface gravity wave turbulence in a flume of a horizontal size 12 x 6 m. For a wide range of amplitudes the wave energy spectrum was found to scale as Eomega approximately omega(-nu) in a frequency range of up to one decade. However, nu appears to be nonuniversal: it depends on the wave intensity and ranges from about 6 to 4. We discuss our...

A consistent picture of the dynamics of the Venus upper atmosphere from 90 to 200 km has begun to emerge [e.g., Bougher, S.W., Alexander, M.J., Mayr, H.G., 1997. – The phase shift of matter wave due to the Earth’s rotation and gravity has been demonstrated in the neutron-interferometry experiments where the Bragg reflection of the neutron wave from crystals is used to form a closed path. In the literature, the rotationinduced phase shift is ascribed to an extra energy term associated with angular momentum in the Hamiltonian. In this investigation, based...

This article is based on the covariant causal set (c-causet) approach to discrete quantum gravity. A c-causet x is a finite partially ordered set that has a unique labeling of its vertices. A rate of change on x is described by a covariant difference operator and this operator acting on a wave function forms the left side of the wave equation. The right side is given by an energy term acting on...
