In this paper we study the relation between module amenability of $theta$-Lau product $A×_theta B$ and that of Banach algebras $A, B$. We also discuss module biprojectivity of $A×theta B$. As a consequent we will see that for an inverse semigroup $S$, $l^1(S)×_theta l^1(S)$ is module amenable if and only if $S$ is amenable.
Let $A$ be a Banach algebra and $X$ be a Banach $A$-bimodule with the left and right module actions $pi_ell: Atimes Xrightarrow X$ and $pi_r: Xtimes Arightarrow X$, respectively. In this paper, we study the topological centers of the left module action $pi_{ell_n}: Atimes X^{(n)}rightarrow X^{(n)}$ and the right module action $pi_{r_n}:X^{(n)}times Arightarrow X^{(n)}$, which inherit from th...
in this paper, we study the arens regularity properties of module actions. we investigate some properties of topological centers of module actions ${z}^ell_{b^{**}}(a^{**})$ and ${z}^ell_{a^{**}}(b^{**})$ with some conclusions in group algebras.
breast cancer is the second largest cause of cancer deaths among women. at the same time, it is also among the most curable cancer types if it can be diagnosed early. this paper presents a novel hybrid intelligent method for recognition of breast cancer tumors. the proposed method includes three main modules: the feature extraction module, the classifier module and the optimization module. in t...
We study the problem of computing the upper bound of the discrete Fréchet distance for imprecise input, and prove that the problem is NP-hard. This solves an open problem posed in 2010 by Ahn et al. If shortcuts are allowed, we show that the upper bound of the discrete Fréchet distance with shortcuts for imprecise input can be computed in polynomial time and we present several efficient algorit...
Let R be a commutative radical Fréchet algebra having a nonnilpotent element a with a ∈ Ra. Then R contains a continuum of incomparable prime ideals. In [3], J. Esterle proved the following result; it is a main ingredient in his proof that epimorphisms from C0(Ω) onto Banach algebras are continuous. Theorem (Esterle). Let R be a commutative radical Banach algebra. Suppose that there exists a no...
We consider complexes (X , d) of nuclear Fréchet spaces and continuous boundary maps dn with closed ranges and prove that, up to topological isomorphism, (Hn(X , d)) ∗ ∼= H(X ∗, d∗), where (Hn(X , d)) ∗ is the strong dual space of the homology group of (X , d) and H(X ∗, d∗) is the cohomology group of the strong dual complex (X ∗, d∗). We use this result to establish the existence of topologica...
Figure 1: Two greatly different curves have a small Hausdroff distance Fréchet distance is a good similarity measurement for curves in Euclidean space. It can be simply described by a daily example. Suppose a dog and its owner are walking along two different paths (curves), connected by a leash. Both of them are moving continuously and forwards only, at any speed or even stop. Then length of th...
In order to use persistence diagrams as a true statistical tool, it would be very useful to have a good notion of mean and variance for a set of diagrams. In [21], Mileyko and his collaborators made the first study of the properties of the Fréchet mean in (Dp,Wp), the space of persistence diagrams equipped with the p-th Wasserstein metric. In particular, they showed that the Fréchet mean of a f...
where α and β range over all continuous non-decreasing functions with α(0) = β(0) = 0 and α(1) = β(1) = 1, and d′ is a distance metric between points. The functions α and β are also refereed to as reparametrizations. We call (α, β) a matching between P and Q. The Fréchet distance is described intuitively by a man walking a dog on a leash. The man follows a curve (path), and the dog follows anot...
