conclusions phoma glomerata pg41 strain sharing natural substrate with toxigenic a. flavus secretes metabolites possessing a significant aflatoxin-degrading activity. the activity is associated mainly with a protein-enriched high-molecular-weight fraction of extracellular metabolites and appears to be of enzymatic origin. results the afb1-degrading activity of protein-enriched fractions, isolat...

BACKGROUND Our laboratory has reported a strategy for improving the extracellular production of recombinant proteins through co-expression with Thermobifida fusca cutinase, which increases membrane permeability via its phospholipid hydrolysis activity. However, the foam generated by the lysophospholipid product makes the fermentation process difficult to control in a fermentor. Phospholipase C ...

Arsukibacterium ikkense GCM72(T) and a close relative, Arsukibacterium sp. MJ3, were isolated from two cold and alkaline environments as producers of extracellular proteolytic enzymes active at high pH and low temperature. This report describes the two draft genome sequences, which may serve as sources of future industrial enzymes.

DNase activities in different protein fractions of Frankia strain R43 were studied. The extracellular and the cell wall-associated fractions revealed the presence of exo- and endonucleolytic enzymes, but none was detected in the cytoplasmic fraction. The strongest DNase hydrolysis was found in the extracellular fraction, in which six DNases were detected by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide...
