Expressions for the Zagreb indices and coindices of the total graph, semi-total point graph and of semi-total line graph of subdivision graphs in terms of the parameters of the parent graph are obtained, thus generalizing earlier existing results.
We prove that if a graph H has the same Tutte polynomial as the line graph of a d-regular, d-edge-connected graph, then H is the line graph of a d-regular graph. Using this result we prove that the line graph of a regular complete t-partite graph is uniquely determined by its Tutte polynomial. We prove the same result for the line graph of any complete bipartite graph.
Let {Gp1, Gp2, . . .} be an infinite sequence of graphs with Gpn having pn vertices. This sequence is called Kp-removable if Gp1 ∼= Kp, and Gpn − S ∼= Gp(n−1) for every n ≥ 2 and every vertex subset S of Gpn that induces a Kp. Each graph in such a sequence has a high degree of symmetry: every way of removing the vertices of any fixed number of disjoint Kp’s yields the same subgraph. Here we con...
In rotor walk on a graph, the exits from each vertex follow a prescribed periodic sequence. We show that any rotor walk on the d-dimensional lattice Z visits at least on the order of t distinct sites in t steps. This result extends to Eulerian graphs with a volume growth condition. In a uniform rotor walk the first exit from each vertex is to a neighbor chosen uniformly at random. We prove a sh...
in this paper, we define the common minimal dominating signed graph of a given signed graph and offer a structural characterization of common minimal dominating signed graphs. in the sequel, we also obtained switching equivalence characterizations: $overline{s} sim cmd(s)$ and $cmd(s) sim n(s)$, where $overline{s}$, $cmd(s)$ and $n(s)$ are complementary signed gra...
the concept of the bipartite divisor graph for integer subsets has been considered in [graph combinator., 26 (2010) 95--105.]. in this paper, we will consider this graph for the set of character degrees of a finite group $g$ and obtain some properties of this graph. we show that if $g$ is a solvable group, then the number of connected components of this graph is at most $2$ and if $g...
In this paper, we develop a new multicasting model for wormhole-routed networks based on the concept of Euler path in graph theory. The model can support multiple multicasts freely from deadlock and can be applied to any network which is Eulerian or is Eulerian after some links being removed. In particular, we demonstrate the power of this model by showing its fault-tolerant capability in suppo...
The polynomial algorithm for constructing a special Eulerian cycle in a plane connected 4-regular graph G = (V,E) is presented in the paper. First of all any cycle of the passed edges does not contain any unpassed edges (the condition of ordered enclosing (OE-cycle). At second, the next edge of this cycle can be chosen from one of two neighbouring edges (left or right) of a cyclic order for the...
Antipodal covers of strongly regular graphs which are not necessarily distance-regular are studied. The structure of short cycles in an antipodal cover is considered. In most cases, this provides a tool to determine if a strongly regular graph has an antipodal cover. In these cases, covers cannot be distance-regular except when they cover a complete bipartite graph. A relationship between antip...
Let n 1 be an integer. The hypercube Qn is the graph whose vertex set isf0;1gn, where two n-tuples are adjacent if they differ in precisely one coordinate. This graph has many applications in Computer sciences and other area of sciences. Inthe graph Qn, the layer Lk is the set of vertices with exactly k 1’s, namely, vertices ofweight k, 1 k n. The hyper-star graph B(n;k) is...
