We present an application of Multi-Agent Modal Logic K (MMLK) to model dynamic strategy game properties. We also provide several search algorithms to decide the model checking problem in MMLK. In this framework, we distinguish between the solution concept of interest which is represented by a class of formulas in MMLK and the search algorithm proper. The solution concept defines the shape of th...

In many search tree (maps) applications the distribution of items accesses is non-uniform, with some popular items accessed more frequently than others. Traditional self-adjusting tree algorithms adapt to the access pattern, but are not suitable for a concurrent setting since they constantly move items to the tree’s root, turning the root into a sequential hot spot. Here we present lazy splayin...

We study analytically the late time statistics of the number of particles in a growing tree model introduced by Aldous and Shields. In this model, a cluster grows in continuous time on a binary Cayley tree, starting from the root, by absorbing new particles at the empty perimeter sites at a rate proportional to c where c is a positive parameter and l is the distance of the perimeter site from t...

We present a novel search scheme for privacypreserving multi-agent planning. Inspired by UCT search, the scheme is based on growing an asynchronous search tree by running repeated trials through the tree. We describe key differences to classical multiagent forward search, discuss theoretical properties of the presented approach, and evaluate it based on benchmarks from the CoDMAP competition.

This article describes how a search tree can be extended in order to allow efficient access to predefined subsets of the stored elements. This is achieved by marking some of the elements of the search tree with marker bits. We show that our approach does not affect the asymptotic logarithmic complexity for existing operations. At the same time, it is beneficial because the modified search tree ...
