Applied science and mechanics need mathematical methods for 2D processes modeling using the set of data points. A novel method of Hurwitz-Radon Matrices (MHR) is used in 2D curve modeling. Proposed method is based on the family of Hurwitz-Radon matrices which possess columns composed of orthogonal vectors. Two-dimensional process is modeled via different functions: sine, cosine, tangent, logari...

In this paper the geometrical description of viscoelastic contacts is described using physical modeling concepts based on energy conservation and network theory. The proposed model is on one side simple enough to be used in real time applications and on the other captures the geometrical features and coupling of a complete spatial geometric unisotropical contact.

This paper presents a procedure for maintaining a 2D-Euclidean Minimum Spanning Tree for a set of n autonomous kinetic robots having no central supervision. The proposed procedure is based on the Kinetic data structure framework and the well known fact that the edges of the minimum spanning tree for a given set of points in the 2D-Euclidean domain are contained in the edges of its Delaunay tria...

Collagen fibers play an important role in the biomechanics of the blood vessel wall. The objective of this study was to determine the 3D microstructure of collagen fibers in the media and adventitia of coronary arteries. We present a novel optimal angle consistence algorithm to reform image slices in the visualization and analysis of 3D collagen images. 3D geometry was reconstructed from reslic...

Various aspects of recent works on affine quantum group symmetry of integrable 2d quantum field theory are reviewed and further clarified. A geometrical meaning is given to the quantum double, and other properties of quantum groups. Multiplicative presentations of the Yangian double are analyzed.

In this paper the Solomon network is simulated by means of 1D and 2D Ising model with additional — not only geometrical — neighbors. A “social phase transition” at a non-zero Curie-like temperature is observed, also in one dimension. The critical exponent describing the behavior of the magnetization in the vicinity of the transition is also evaluated.

background: in order to improve the evaluation of possible rectal toxicity based on the rectal normal tissue complication probability (ntcp), we consider the fractional dependence of the ntcp on the wall thickness (tw) and rectal displacement (rm). materials and methods: the two-dimensional ntcp model (ntcp2d) was developed using radiotherapy plans of ten randomly selected patients with prostat...

The generalization of Kasteleyn and Fortuin clusters formalism is introduced in XY (or more generally O(n)) models. Clusters geometrical structure may be linked to spin physical properties as correlation functions. To investigate percolative characteristics, the new cluster definition is analytically explored in one dimension and with Monte Carlo simulations in 2D and 3D frustrated and unfrustr...
