We give the structure of λ-constacyclic codes of length pm over R = Fpr +uFpr + . . .+uFpr with λ ∈ F ∗ pr . We also give the structure of λ-constacyclic codes of length pm with λ = α1 + uα2 + . . .+ u αe−1, where α1, α2 6= 0 and study the self-duality of these codes.
In this paper, involving Wgh operators W q ([α1]) and W p q ([α1 + 1]), a generalized class of k-uniformly starlike functions is defined. Some results on coefficient inequalities, inclusion and convolution properties for functions belonging to this class are derived. Our results generalize some of the previously obtained results as well as generate new ones.
Consider a composition of two regular coverings π1 : Γ0 → Γ1 and π2 : Γ1 → Γ2 of graphs, given by voltage assignments α1, α2 on Γ1, Γ2 in groups G1 and G2, respectively. In the case when π2 ◦ π1 is regular we present an explicit voltage assignment description of the composition in terms of G1, G2, α1, α2, and walks in Γ1.

Ethanol exposure produces alterations in GABAergic signaling that are associated with dependence and withdrawal. Previously, we demonstrated that ethanol-induced protein kinase C (PKC) γ signaling selectively contributes to changes in GABAA α1 synaptic receptor activity and surface expression. Here, we demonstrate that protein kinase A (PKA) exerts opposing effects on GABAA receptor adaptations...

Hyperplasia of stromal and epithelial ...
Herpesviruses are large DNA viruses which depend on many nuclear functions, and therefore on host transport factors to ensure specific nuclear import of viral and host components. While some import cargoes bind directly to certain transport factors, most recruit importin β1 via importin α. We identified importin α1 in a small targeted siRNA screen to be important for herpes simplex virus (HSV-1...
Mammalian glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH), a nuclear-encoded enzyme central to cellular metabolism, is among the most abundant mitochondrial proteins (constituting up to 10% of matrix proteins). To attain such high levels, GDH depends on very efficient mitochondrial targeting that, for human isoenzymes hGDH1 and hGDH2, is mediated by an unusually long cleavable presequence (N53). Here, we studied...
Mineral dusts produce emphysema, and administration of dust to rats results in the rapid appearance of desmosine and hydroxyproline in lavage fluid, confirming that dusts directly induce connective tissue breakdown. To examine the role of neutrophils and α1-antitrypsin (α1-AT) in this process, we instilled silica or coal into normal rats or rats that had been pretreated with antiserum against n...
The structural characterization of glycolipids from Thermus thermophilus HB8 was performed in this study. Two neutral and one acidic glycolipids were extracted and purified by the modified TLC-blotting method, after which their chemical structures were determined by chemical composition analysis, mass spectrometry (MS) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. The structure of one of t...
