Let G0 be a reductive group over Fq. There are two classes of algebraic varieties over an algebraic closure F of Fq attached to G0. Let us recall their definition. We set G = G0×Fq F. To G there is associated the maximal torus, the Weyl group W and the set of fundamental reflections in W , cf. [DL] 1.1. Let X = XG be the set of all Borel subgroups of G. Then X is a smooth projective algebraic v...
1 Basic inequality For any real numbers ρ d satisfying ρ 1 = 1, and for any natural number m, we have d|m µ(d) d|m ρ d 2 = e|m λ e , λ e = [d 1 ,d 2 ]=e ρ d 1 ρ d 2. Our goal is to optimize the choice of (ρ d) d1. Let m = (n, P (z)), multiply by a n and sum over n using (g): say. Minimizing XG + R is quite difficult. However, if we restrict the support of ρ to d √ D, it is relatively easy to mi...

The locus for the X-borne type of Charcot-Marie-Tooth muscular atrophy is not close to the Xg locus and probably not within direct measurable distance of it.
The generalized Hyers–Ulam–Rassias stability of adjointable mappings on Hilbert C∗-modules is investigated. As a corollary, we establish the stability of the equation f(x)∗y = xg(y)∗ in the context of C∗-algebras.

We discuss the product formula for the c-function for a Riemannian symmetric space and the similar formula for a noncompactly causal symmetric space. We derive two functional equations between the c-functions using the product formulas. Finally some examples where the c-functions turn up in analysis on symmetric spaces are given. Let G be a connected semisimple Lie group with nite center. Let K...
