Electromagnetic bandgap structures formed by circular posts of magnetized ferrite stacked in a rectangular waveguide is analyzed using the image theory, the lattice sums technique, and the generalized reflection and transmission matrices. The frequency response controllable by the applied magnetic field are discussed for the incidence of the fundamental 10 TE mode.
